My daughter has gone off to college and we now have an infant in the home as well. There's not much time for her. She needs a good home that she will get the attention and love that she needs. He is house broken, a cutie pie and a gentleman per the shelter. He is neutered and approx 43 lbs. He does pull on a leash a little so he needs to work on this with his new family. He will require a totally fenced yard., He is a sweet energetic boy who loves to chase a ball. He is crate trained. He loves carrots, fresh green beans, apple slices, and blue berries with his food. Their mom, Karen, is a beautiful girl that found herself and her babies heading to Clayton County Animal Control after being picked up as strays in a field. Roger is a very sweet playful dog. A fenced in yard is highly recommended especially if you have other dogs that enjoy playing or sunning outside. Please also check out my available brother Kevin and sister Noelle that are still looking for a forever home. Roger has Luxating Patella issues in both back knees. Flirt just needs a chance to charm you! He has the best expression of any of his siblings and he is always up for meeting new people! Flirt is 8 months old and he currently weighs about 39 pounds, but he is about 5 pounds over weight right now due to needed to be on prednisone for Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD). This is an autoimmune disease that we can see with larger breed puppies as they grow. It will go away on its own once his bones stop growing, but many dogs will only have an episode or two of it and then not relapse. Flirt was diagnosed in April and has been off of medication and is doing great! We do not think that he will get much bigger, so he is probably done with the bulk of his growing. We think that he will stay in the 40 pound weight range even when he is full grown. Flirt is SUPER cuddly and loves to nap and sleep with his humans or another dog. He is a bed hog! He also loves treats and he knows how to sit for his food. He is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. And goats, chickens, horses..... everyone! He is crate trained and is house trained. He walks well on a leash and is a good car rider. He is happy to play with other dogs, but only if a lap to sit on is not available. One of his siblings got a DNA test done- he is mostly Cattle dog and American pit bull terrier.
