Story
A SUPER SWEET GUY: Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 49 lbs. & needs to gain some weight Hi, my name is Nooney! I found myself in need of a good home, so some folks helped me work my way to Mostly Mutts for which I am grateful! I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off site and learning a lot! Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: There was an 8 lb. Yorkie in my former foster home, and I did very well with her, though I’m big and did sometimes walk over her a bit, but I think it’s more about my size than anything else. I choose which dogs I like, and in general I prefer small dogs, though I have now met some bigger dogs (50lbs.) in the prison/foster training program and I played with them. This does take a while, and a quiet controlled environment is a must. If you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet and see if I choose you as a friend. / A temp. home I visited reported that I should not live with cats. / There were high school aged kids in my foster home, and I was great with them! I haven’t met young kids, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’ve been described as super friendly, loyal and a personable dog that is very loving and wants to be with people all the time – a good Velcro dog I like to say. I’m super sweet and cuddly with a wagging tail that expresses my joy! I have a great spirit and am very loving and I’ll sleep at your feet. I’ve also got a reputation of being ‘handsome, smart and sweet’ – I bet you will agree. I can be reactive towards some strangers on walks so please take some time introducing me to strangers – my trainer will show you how. I’m a strong boy, but don’t seem to know it. I do like to run, so please don’t let me off leash. / My energy level is around a 5-7 – lower in my former foster home, but higher in my temp. home. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. I take treats nicely out of my people’s hands, so my continued training should be fun – and yummy! / I don’t love the crate, but I do calm down after a little bit. I didn’t seem to need a crate in my temp. home as I was trustworthy in the home. / I had good potty manners in my former foster home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like to be with people and enjoy my walks with them. I always enjoy bones and tennis balls and I’m ready to receive belly rubs, too. I enjoy my time both inside and outside with my people and with both men and women alike. I find car rides enjoyable, too. / I am very afraid of loud trucks and have lunged at cars and a large moving truck on my walks, so please hold my leash tightly. I’m also not a big fan of being alone much or meeting people too quickly. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m on an inexpensive medication for anxiety. I am looking for a loving home with a great family for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga. January 24, 2025, 6:19 am
