    Monty 18 months old, good boy, takes a bit to warm up. Monty was adopted as a puppy during the shut down from COVID. When things opened up, his adopter surrendered him to animal control - due to no time. Since Monty's formative months he was in quarantine with his adopter and was not socialized well. He just needs a home to help him be the best he can be.  Once he knows you he is a great boy with lots of energy to run and play :) We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. He is protective of the ones he loves so hiking would be good for Blu but, street walking not so much. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Jax is a 5 year old male Boxer / American Pit Bull Terrier mix that has been at AWL since 11/18/20. Jax is a work in progress that would thrive with someone with extra time/patience. Jax enjoys playing fetch and will gladly sit for treats! Jax needs help with leash manners, as he likes to nip at the lead. AWL currently uses a chain to transport Jax from his kennel to outside play area. Jax is looking for his best friend. Could that be you? Seeley was found potentially hitchhiking on US 40 and brought to our shelter. We estimate him to be 8 yrs old and he weighs around 54 pounds. Staff describe his energy and medium high so a household where children are 12 or older would work best for him. He`s okay around female dogs and hasn`t showed interest in cats. The one thing Seeley is known for is being strong. He`s stayed in great shape while at our shelter.
