PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. BRANDY!!!! She's a fine girl!!!! What a good pet she will be!!! She's a 5-6 year old boxer/lab/pit bull mix, weighing about 65 lbs, who's Mom ended up in a nursing home. Brandy's mom had no friends or family so Brandy was her mom's only loving companion for 5-6 years. It was devastating for her Mom to be forced to relinquish Brandy, obviously. And traumatic for Brandy as well. Thankfully, Brandy, despite having never been around dogs, has shown that she absolutely loves playing chase and doing zoomies with her foster dogs. She can play a bit rough because she sure doesn't her age! Brandy still has quite a bit of energy and acts more like a 2-3 year old dog. She does have some separation anxiety due to the trauma of being taken from her Mom and also due to the fact that her Mom was with her 24/7 . She doesn't tear anything up when her foster mom leaves but wouldn't be happy left alone 9-10 hours a day. Brandy deserves the MOST PERFECT HOME!! Don't you agree?? The ideal home for BRANDY will be one with a large 5 foot tall or greater fenced in yard, a 40 lb or great playful dog, and where is someone is home the majority of the time. Brandy is a HUGE talker and expresses her opinion quite often! It's so often! She vocalizes when she wants attention, when she wants to go outside and when she wants to play. And she is so loving & affectionate! What a fabulous personality this sweetheart has!!! Brandy's adoption fee is $225; she is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped as well as kept on monthly heartworm/flea preventative.

Story
Woof! Woof! We are Harley Grace and Maisey, 4-year-old bonded sisters in immediate need of a new home together, if possible. While our parents love us very much, and have given us the best home, sadly we have to find new furever family. A little about us: we were found together at 4 weeks old outside of a barn in North Carolina. Our parents got us because our big sister needed friends in her later years in life. We loved playing with Bella until she crossed rainbow bridge and with our cousins; 3 German Shepards and 1 brown lab and still have play dates whenever we can. We love our human cousins too and love it when they want to throw our toys. We are both super loving, do everything together, & are just as happy chilling on the couch with Netflix as we are going on a car ride to the park. Our parents leave out full food bowls we graze on and love Milk Bones. We have always had a doggie door but are house trained and will let you know when we want to go out and smell the roses.

Story
Have you been looking for a pup to laugh with you, cry with you, and most importantly cheer you up during your worst moments? Neo would make the perfect man for the job! Neo is a two-year-old dog who has been waiting to find the human who complements him best. Despite his young age, he has already been rehomed at least once and was most recently found as a stray. While he has enjoyed the new digs at HSHC, Neo thinks it's about time he graduates from a kennel into a forever home.Neo has quickly become a staff favorite, with many saying he has the softest fur in the universe, gives the best snuggles you've ever had, and provides constant companionship whenever needed. He's practically the staff therapy pup! Neo loves to run around and be goofy, but he can also settle down nicely and chill on the couch for hours. The great news is that Neo passed his cat test with flying colors, so if there's a feline friend at home, they are likely to get along just fine. Plus, Neo absolutely loves sitting in laps, making him the perfect cuddle buddy.Neo isn't just looking for a new family; he's looking for a new best friend, companion, and someone to count on for the rest of his days. Do you think you're the one for him?

"Hello, my name is Tori, and I am an incredibly smart and brave dog with a lot of love to give! I am very athletic and protective of my loved ones, so I will always be there when you need me. I am a strong and independent dog, but I am also very affectionate and love nothing more than a good cuddle. I am looking for a forever home where I can be the queen of the castle and receive all the love and affection that I deserve. I would do best in a home without other dogs as I have not had the best experiences with them in the past. If you are willing to open your heart and home to me, I promise to be a loyal companion who will love you endlessly. I am waiting for you with wagging tail and lots of kisses, take the leap and adopt me!" Tori is currently in Indiana with her fosters where she is working on socialization skills. She is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt who will continue her training.

Story
Winnie is a beautiful pitty girl looking for a particular home. She came to us after being found living in an abandoned van in a junkyard. She was thin and not in the best shape after fending for herself on the streets, She was under-socialized and unsure about people. We were not sure if she would be adoptable. After many weeks working with Winnie, she had her favorite people she was eager to please, but still struggled with more than one human at a time, and showed some nervous behaviors. After consulting with our vet, we decided to try Prozac, which has worked wonders for our Winnie girl! Winnie would do best in a home with an owner who is educated about the stigma pit bulls face in society, and who can make sure she has a spot in their home and family for her entire life anyways. She would prefer an adult only home, without other animals, that is willing to make her the “kiddo” of the family. Winnie does not seem to be a big fan of children and we will not adopt her into a home with children of any any age or regular kiddo visitors. She will need continued training and to stay on Prozac or to consult with your own vet about alternative anxiety medications that can help her continue to live her best life. Winnie loves walks in the world, creek stomping, car rides, snuffle mats, and things she can chew. She has done well here going outside if let out on regular schedule and doesn’t destroy her furniture in her room. She will destroy stuffies and sissy toys with glee. Winnie is looking for a human who wants a loyal best friend that doesn’t have a perfect past, but is committed to a beautiful forever.
