Story
They call me Lil Dude but I`m really not a little guy. I`m a zany, fun guy that has bounds of energy!. Maybe they should have called me Energizer Bunny! That might fit my personality a bit more. I may be 5-yrs old, but I am full of puppy energy. Please don`t let my age fool you. I love to go, go, go! I do need help with my manners, so I`m hoping we could go to school together. That would be a great bonding time for the two of us. Stop by the shelter to meet with me and let`s see if we were made for each other. I am currently in a foster home. So you will need to call the shelter once you fill out an application so they know you are interested in me. Once you do that they`ll get the ball rolling for us to meet.Check out a video of Lil Dude here: https://youtu.be/zJKJxe1YA0sInterested in adopting me? I am in a foster home so things need to be done a little differently. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then calling the shelter to let them know you are interested in meeting me!. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2.

Story
Daisy-Boxer/Shepard female, ~ 1 yr. (Jan. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Daisy was saved by a Dog Trainer when she saw her in a high kill shelter. She knew this sweet girl needed a chance at life, not to have her life snuffed out before she's even gotten started. Daisy is a 'gem'...she's house trained, crate trained, according to her Inmate Trainer. She's been in a Training program at a Men's Prison and has already learned her basic obedience commands. She's learning about vehicle manners, how to load up. She knows about grooming and good care. She's good with other dogs, loves to play, still having puppy mannerism. Her favorite games, according to her foster dad is 'ball, tag and tug'! She loves the recent snow and had so much fun playing with a ball in the snow. Her buddy dogs, both big and small had fun with her. Children are an unknown, although she's been around children at the Trainer's Kennels. Daisy has a big bark, which can be misunderstood to a novice dog owner. She doesn't bark often, but will alert if a stranger wanks in the house. A home with experienced dog owners is preferred and Daisy would love to have a canine buddy. She would be considered medium/large in size and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Hiking and play! Daisy's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Ziggy is an older distiguished gentledog. He loves to be a couch potato. He does love going for a walk. He is always happy to see people and give them his paw. He follows commands and is crate trained. His nickname is "Tiger" because of his coat. He is very loving to people and selective to other dogs. Proper introduction is always a must. He wouldn't be ideal with a house that has small children. He is always eager to please. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1545628##

She loves balls of all kinds, and will spend hours in a fenced yard playing fetch and running and chasing soccer balls. Lillie loves socks, dirty socks, clean socks, socks fresh out of the package, she is obsessed with socks. She is very smart and treat motivated. She has learned a number of commands since she has been in her current home .  Lillie is completely housebroken, and is very willing to get in her crate whenever she needs to. Her family has worked on leash walking, and she does best with a harness. Lillie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  Lillie prefers to be the only dog, getting all of the attention, and does not like to share her People or her toys. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Homer is a lovable, snuggly pit with a lot of energy still at 7 years old. He knows basic commands (sit, lay down, stay, come, shake), is used to leashed walks, and loves cuddling on the couch or bed with his humans. He also enjoys giving kisses, scratches behind his ear, belly rubs and playing with toys (although you’ll need indestructible toys haha). Homer is used to being home during the day while we go to work, and he doesn’t have any issues being left alone during the workday. He is up to date on shots and neutered. We can provide a dog bed, food, bowls, leash, etc.    Homer would need to be the only animal in the home (dog reactive most of the time after 10 minutes or so of meeting but can pass them on the street during walks unless they lunge at him), no cats (or would likely be fine with a cat that keeps to itself) and no kids due to resource guarding and a bite incident. The two bites were not large and required glue but not stitches and were related to resource guarding.    A potential adopter would need to have knowledge (or willingness to learn) of resource guarding and the capacity to properly manage it. However, Homer is a sweet dog 99% of the time but just needs an environment suitable to not trigger his resource guarding, which I believe he will thrive in. We have done training through K9 Koncepts, which is supposed to be open for the entirety of Homer’s life, so we could potentially transfer that over to the adopter for free, if interested and after contacting K9 Koncepts to make sure that is a possibility. If you are interested in adopting Homer, please contact:Erica.  email: Erica.cranford11@gmail.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:13 pm
