Story
Hooch is a one-of-a-kind pup with a heart of gold. Don't be fooled by his initial "excited pitty wiggles" - this gentle giant instantly calms down and showers you with affection. Kids? Those are his JAM! He LOVES kids! He checks in on them and watches over them in the correct way. He absolutely loves other dogs. Hooch craves the ability to show his humans love and affection He loves his toys, car rides, and even joins in on your stretching routines (with a hilarious head tilt first). Hooch is already potty-trained, knows basic commands, and practices good manners (waiting for his food and walks). He's eager to please and mastering leash walking and recall.

Story
Gianna is an affectionate girl who thrives on being the center of attention. She adores snuggling up to you while receiving treats and affectionate words. Enjoying naps in bed and belly rubs, she's a gentle soul who gets along famously with children and everyone she encounters. Fully trained in both potty habits and crate etiquette, she also responds well to basic commands. Introductions to other dogs require patience, as she's selective about her companions. It's heartening to note her progress in manners and boundaries, a testament to her adaptability and eagerness to learn. While she's been honing her leash skills, she's does best with a prong collar due to her unexpected strength. Gianna strikes a perfect balance between relaxation and adventure, relishing car rides and eagerly accompanying you wherever you go. The adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue's care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org

Story
Hi my name is Lil Red aka Red. My first few hours in resuce I was a scared little guy. I was full of fear. Once I got to my foster home and took a good nap and got some yummy food. I took off owning the place and all the toys. I am approx 4 months old. Doing great at my potty training. Do great in a crate. I also sleep through the night on your bed cuddled next to you if that's what you prefer. I play with my foster brothers whom are 5 years old and 10 months. They are teaching me the ropes on how to dog. I boss them around is more like it. My foster mom calls me Red the ref. When I arrived I would run from you human people but have learned you are good people and now I am the first to greet you, if you have a treat of course otherwise my toys are way more fun. Anything new I take with caution but get the warm fuzzies once you hold me and I give you some sniffs. If you're looking for a mister to be your companion and be by your side watch dog tv and share snacks I am your guy. I learn quickly and do very well with all size dogs. If you're looking for an handsome eyed fella I would love to join your pack.

Story
Rooster (aka Bently)) - Seeking My Furever Family! Hey there! My name's Rooster, though you might know me as Bentley from my younger days. I came from a litter of pups found in a parking lot with our emaciated momma and was lucky enough to find a foster home at a young age. Here's the scoop on me: Kid-tested, dog-approved: I did great with young kids in my first home, and I get along swimmingly with my furry foster siblings. Independent, but cuddly: I'm learning to chill out even when there's excitement around, but let's be honest, who doesn't love a good cuddle? Toy time is my prime time: Give me a squeaky toy or a good bone, and I'm one happy pup! Master of my domain (almost): I'm completely housebroken and kennel trained (though I might make some funny noises to let you know I'd rather be out and about). New friends are cool (with treats): I'm working on overcoming my initial shyness with strangers, and treats definitely help speed up the warming-up process. Looking for: A patient and understanding family who can appreciate my goofy personality. Someone willing to continue my training on stranger socialization. A home with or without furry friends, I'm adaptable! If you're looking for a loyal, playful pup who's eager to learn and grow, then I might just be your perfect match! P.S. Don't worry about the funny kennel noises, they're just my way of saying "Let's go play!" Rooster's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. Mylee - The Energizer Bunny with a Heart of Gold Meet Mylee, a spunky 1.5-year-old Pit Mix bursting with energy and love! This sweet girl is ready to embark on her next adventure with a family that can keep up with her playful spirit. Mylee is already spayed and has mastered the art of leash walking, making her the perfect companion for outdoor adventures. While she loves to burn off energy chasing and wrestling with her canine pals, Mylee also has a soft side. She enjoys cuddling with her humans and cherishes the comfort of her toys. Despite her playful nature, Mylee respects boundaries and has learned to coexist peacefully with a feline friend. Having experienced life in a boarding facility, Mylee has developed excellent basic manners and is well on her way to mastering the art of alone time. However, she's a true clinger who craves constant companionship. A fenced yard would be an absolute dream come true for this energetic girl, allowing her to run and play freely. Mylee is looking for an active family who understands the Pit Bull breed and can provide her with the stimulation and love she deserves. If you're ready for a loyal, affectionate, and high-energy companion, Mylee might just be your perfect match! Mylee's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue's care.
