Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Crash—nice to meet you! I’m a tall, handsome, and docile guy with a big heart… and a big head to match! I love going for long walks, taking my time to enjoy the scenery, and I’m great on a leash. I’m friendly with all humans, including kiddos—can you believe I even know my size?   I’ve met a kitty before, in my foster home, and we didn’t get along very well.  If this relationship changes, I’ll be sure to update you.  I just keep busy following my foster kids around, making sure they’re getting plenty of kisses! I’d do best in a home without shared walls and without other dogs—I prefer being the only one claiming the best seat on the couch. Speaking of couches… do you have one? Because I’m looking for the perfect one to Crash on! Crash is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate   to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 3, 2025, 6:54 pm

Story
This sweet sweet boy was found starving and dumped right outside of the TX border heading into OK. Boy was he lucky a special family stopped for him and got in touch with the rescue. He came to us and stayed for several weeks while we treated his skin and got him healthy again. Good food, lots and lots of love and appropriate vetting has helped Mr. Mars feel so much better! Now he is thriving a loving foster home, He is working on his manners and learning all the things a good boy should know. He has been attending doggy daycare and making new friends. Now all he needs is a home of his very own. Let Love Live believes in an easy, simple and low barrier adoption process. Gone are the days of home visits and reference checks. The questions we ask on our application are to help make sure we get the right pet into your home, not to exclude adopters. Let Love Live rescues animals in Texas and many southern states. Story
King Kirby was given his name after his finder Kirby! King fits him as he is King of the neighborhood where he roamed after being dumped by careless and irresponsible people. Boy though did he wander up to the BEST construction site ever where Mr. Kirby was working. For a week, King Kirby would wait patiently for Mr. Kirby to arrive and bring him some delicious food to eat. He looked forward to hearing the truck rolling in day after day. But one morning when Mr. Kirby arrived, King finally came much later with a seriously ripped up ear and a cut across his head. So Mr. Kirby knew it was time to find this guy some help. He reached out to Let Love Live and we said YES. But Kirby was not to be found again at the site after they left that day. Fortunately, he went over to a home nearby and made friends with the dogs and the amazing people who lived there. They also reached out to find help for Kirby and were able to take him to his surgery appointment. King Kirby is doing great with some salvaged ear and newly neutered! This boy is a true charm and a perfect gent with other dogs and people. We cant wait to find his forever family who will cherish him for the King that he is!
