DOB: 8/1/24                                  Current Weight(as of  12/06/24):  33 Lbs Adoption Fee: $200 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. FULLY VACCINATED! HAVE RECEIVED ALL PUPPY VACCINES + RABIES! Herschel and his siblings were dumped in a park in Nevada, MO.  The shelter did find the owners and were told  they were not able to care for them, so they dumped them.  They are 51% Boxer, 30% Heeler, 15% Australian Shepherd and 4% Border Collie. These pups will need an active home with a fenced yard.  His foster parents found he loves watching TV, and has such a cute faces as he is watching. They have been calling him Buddy because he wants to be by his people or his foster sisters at all times. Very energetic, loves toys, and cuddles. He is very respectful of his older foster sisters, and does take corrections quite well. Herschel is working on housetraining, but still needs some time and patience. He would do well in a home with other dogs, and would be perfectly fine with kids. While he is a bit timid at first, he warms up quickly and just wants to be loved. Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.  Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Hi! My name’s Houston. I'm a four-year-old boxer mix boy and kind of a beefcake at around 80 pounds. (I'd argue that it's all muscle, too.) One of the things I want most in a forever home is a human friend to hang out with, not doing anything in particular, just a couple pals spending time together. Wouldn't that be amazing? I'm a little shy at first, but if you'll give me a few minutes to get to know you, we'll be besties. And I promise to be your snuggle pup! Really, though, I’m way too smart to laze around 24/7. I know sit, down, stay, high five, orbit, between, and wait. Learning tricks is one of my favorite activities and I can pick up new ones in just a day or two. I love to run outside and play in water from the hose. In case I wasn't clear enough on that, I LOVE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!. My favorite game of all is tug of war. (I'll even let you win sometimes!) I’m kennel trained, house trained, and am good at being left alone. In fact, I do some of my best snoozing in my crate while I wait patiently for you to come home. I’d do best in a home with older children because I’m still learning how to contain all my excitement around the little ones. Since I've been looking for a home for a while, I think I'd prefer to be the only doggo so I don't have to share. I’ve got so much love to share and I absolutely cannot wait to meet you! You'll get to see my cute little nub of a tail wag and wag when I'm happy and that will make YOU happy, too! Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 to find out more about me! I'm in the Kansas City metro, but my human friends will transport me to the right home. #thepetconnection #BoxerMix #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #DogsofKC #SmartPup #PlayfulPup #ForeverHomeNeeded #KCAdopt #DogLovers #pawsitivetailskc

Story
Roxy Age: 6yo Breed: American Bulldog mixed with Boxer. Weight: 75lb Color : White & Brown. Sex: Female. Potty trained. Spayed. Up to date on Vaccines. Must be indoors. Roxy was adopted to our family when she was 4 months old. She is a very sweet dog and loves a lot of attention. She does well with little kids as we have a 4 year old girl at home and other pets like dogs & cats as we have a cat at home as well. She is fully potty trained and used to going to a groomer. Our family's VERY busy work schedule & daughters dance schedule does not allow us to spend a lot of time with Roxy and it really breaks our hearts seeing her alone all of the time. She loves playing outside and going on walks. She is used to being indoors and does not like the cold. She has been very well loved her whole life and was raised with out spanking or any other physical discipline so it is important to use she is with a loving home. Her bad habits is she likes to bark at the delivery guys.
