This beauty is Bella! How could you resist this sweet face? Bella is only one year and is a Boxer mix. She was surrendered to the shelter along with her sister when their owner moved and was unable to take them. Bella is such a sweet girl and loved by all. She seems to get along with other dogs but does need to go to a home with no cats. I should mention, she will also need to go to a home where belly rubs will be given multiple times throughout the day! She has already been spayed is ready to go home! Bella is patiently waiting for her new family to come along! Please call the shelter if you questions. Better yet, stop by and meet this sweetheart. Have you ever wanted a boy dog who will just adore you and everything you do? Lance is your guy! This boy is a little shy still because the shelter is a little scary for him, but as soon as you meet him he will crawl into your arms and melt like butter. He is such a sweet angel boy and I adore him to pieces. He's listed as a Boxer/Hound mix and estimated to be 6 years old! We're not sure why no one came to reclaim this fella, but he deserves so much love and care.

A Rose by any other name, could not be any sweeter than this cutie. Rose is a soulful 1 year old boxer mix, weighing a petite 39 lbs. She appeared friendly towards other dogs and people on our walk, trying to engage them in play or for pets. Rose was easy to walk on the leash the other night, and enjoyed showing off some of her tricks for me like sit and shake. Stop into HSOP to meet endearing Rose today! Let me introduce Lady Jane(the smaller one) and Shadow Marie these sweet girls were surrendered to the shelter when there previous owner found themselves homeless Shadow Marie has a very outgoing personality but lady Jane is having a hard time adjusting to the shelter environment Shadow has been very helpful in comforting her sister. Both are very sweet and loving also very obedient knowing a handful of commands already such as sit, shake and lady Jane will dance like a ballerina for treats so we here at HSOP are going to attempt to get them adopted out together offering a TWO FOR ONE DISCOUNT if we can find them a home together! Often when we walk by their kennel we find shadow Marie cuddling up with her sister comforting her if you would like to come meet these sweethearts and could give them a loving home together applications can be filled out in person or online

Duke is a handsome 2-year old male Boxer mix who was brought to the HSOV on January 30, 2024 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who had picked Duke up (along with his beautiful sister Lucy) on Dana's Run Road in the Newport Ohio area. Duke has a dark brown/black short smooth coat in a brindle pattern, a large white bib on his chest, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face brindle/white face with beautiful brown eyes, a black button nose, and short floppy ears. These photos were taken on February 3, 2024 when HSOV Kennel Tech Sydney Satow spent time with Duke for his Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet photos. Duke weighs approximately 65 lbs and is very strong on a leash. Duke has already been neutered and was given rabies vaccine on February 14, 2023. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Duke was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Neither Duke (nor his sister Lucy) were reclaimed. We've learned that Duke does NOT do well with other dogs (or cats), so he would be looking for a home that he did not have to share with other animals.
