Sadie is an absolute lady with a love of squeaky stuffies, tennis balls, and people! This amazing girl stole all our hearts with her ease and smiling face, we hope she reaches yours too! Fall in love with Sadie here: https://youtu.be/tknJVMR6Esw?si=4zf-rX2UMJOlctjm In rescue age and breed are details about a dog we can never know with 100% confidence but we believe Sadie is a boxer/lab mix and possibly 5 years old, weighing 40 lbs. Her face gives off an older look than her physical health and energy level show. Those details don’t speak to who Sadie is at her core though, this is a dog that only sees the goodness and reflects it right back. Everyone who met her commented that she “made my day” or “her happiness is contagious!” It was hard not be overwhelmed with a smile for seemingly no reason at all, no silly tricks or attention getters, just her company. She is something really special in this world and we can't even imagine how much more she will shine once she finds her forever family. Sadie’s easy-going nature can be seen in all her interactions- with other dogs she was friendly and content in their company, and with our house cat she was perfectly respectful. An ideal home for Sadie is one where napping is encouraged and dog-toys will be purchased. For a canine companion, Sadie would love an easy-going partner-in-chill and cats are welcome! Thanks to her calm and quiet nature, and size, Sadie would be a great fit for the apartment life or a house with a yard. All we think she absolutely needs is a family of her own and a home where she is loved! Sadie is great with kids, in her video she plays with a 6 year old. She’s gentle, patient and not easily overwhelmed by the sudden movements and loud noises that young children make. Sadie is also great with cats, not overly interested and happy to coexist. She’s a champion on leash, with enough stamina and interest to accompany you on long walks, but loves the indoor lifestyle enough to spend hours and hours snuggling on the couch. Sadie is a wonder-dog, and so thoroughly loved here at the rescue- we can’t wait to see her showered in the love of her forever family. Sadie does have a mild case of dry eye in one of her eyes, which is eased with daily drops, and six-month supply is included in her adoption. Learn more about Sadie’s eyes in her video. Sadie is available for adoption now! The sooner you get her home the sooner the love can start flowing! The best days of Sadie’s life are ahead of her and she can’t wait to spend them with you! If you have any questions about Sadie or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Meet Caesar! This gentle 4-year-old and 72-pound boxer boy is ready to steal your heart with his sweet demeanor and mellow energy. My favorite thing about Caesar is the kisses he gives you and he will give lots of them. When first meeting if you crouch down low and baby talk him he will literally melt into a gushy lover boy and start wagging his tail. His face becomes the most expressive and his head tilts when you talk to him like he’s having the conversation with you. The boy is a gentle boy that is cautious to not knock you over but he does love to stand up and give you BIG hugs. If you stop giving him love he will affectionately paw your hand to say, Hey, I still want more!” This week Caesar’s foster took him to the Houston dog show where he met many new dogs and kids with the best manners! Caesar is a whiz when it comes to meeting new dogs, no matter their size or gender. Caesar is a medium-energy boy who knows how to read other dogs' cues to play or be left alone. Caesar transitions smoothly into new homes and quickly adapts to routines and rules. He respects corrections from other dogs and coexists peacefully with them, showing his adaptable nature. Caesar has made tremendous progress with crate training. He willingly enters his crate on command and has learned to communicate his needs effectively. Caesar is vocal only when he needs to go potty and politely requests to be let out of his crate. Caesar thrives in a calm environment and enjoys exploring his surroundings before settling down for a nap. He's content spending time in his crate or freely roaming the apartment, showing excellent behavior in both settings. This sweet boy sleeps through the night in his crate without any issues. While Caesar can be timid around loud noises and cars, he's been improving with consistent encouragement and support. He benefits from a confident handler who can guide him through these challenges. On walks, he may startle at sudden noises or movements but responds well to verbal corrections. He works every day building up his confidence. We think his best home would be in a suburban neighborhood or in a rural setting. This boy is likely not going to be a downtown high rise city boy! This smooshy-faced sweetheart gets along famously with dogs of all sizes and loves being part of doggie play groups. He's friendly, submissive, and adores human attention. Caesar is looking for a loving home where he can continue to build his confidence and enjoy the companionship of a caring family. Could Caesar be the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for? He will be ready to smother you in kisses! Meet Coba, the charming and oh-so-cuddly 72 pound four-year old Boxer with a personality as adorable as his short legs and charming wrinkles! Coba is the definition of laid-back – he’s mellow, calm, and always ready for a snuggle session or a good booty scratch (which he absolutely loves!). Watch Coba here: https://youtu.be/uL8542t2T8Y When he's not basking in the glory of belly rubs, Coba enjoys exploring his surroundings, confidently strutting around with his head held high. He has a bit of an independent streak, but that just adds to his cool, confident demeanor. But don’t let his calm nature fool you. He loves his humans the most and ultimately wants a family or partner that will include him in their every day life. Coba could live in an apartment, condo or home with a yard. He is a quiet boy and we could even see him living in a busy city. Coba meets everyone with his dreamy big eyes andgoofy grin. Coba is best matched with a secure, more dominant female who can appreciate his confidant, independent nature. He has been great with older kids that were calmer. He has aced his leash skills making him enjoyable to take on walk and is quiet in a crate. Coba also gets along with small dogs, proving that his gentle and easy-going nature makes him a great buddy for pups of all sizes! But no cats for Coba, they are just too interesting for him. If you're looking for a lovable companion with a heart as big as his personality, Coba is your guy! His little wrinkles, playful spirit, and love for a good scratch will make every day brighter. Come meet Coba and let him show you just how wonderful life can be with a Boxer by your side! Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! Story
This cutie is Nae Nae. She is currently 5 months old, and we think they may be a Pug and chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. https://youtu.be/7OVtCEbdnBg?feature=shared Nae Nae is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She can be shy at first when meeting new people and dogs but with time she blossoms into the most confident and affectionate girl! She loves treats which is great for training her. She is the happiest when she’s in a quiet environment and is just playing with her brother and the people she loves. Nae Nae met the house and gave him his distance. She would do well in a home with cats and a home with another playful small dog! Nae Nae is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Story
This cutie is Dae Dae. He is currently 5 months old, and we think they may be a Pug chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. Dae Dae is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He can be shy at first when meeting new people and dogs but with time he blossoms into the most confident and affectionate lil guy! He loves treats which is great for training him how to sit and walk on leash. He is the happiest when he’s in a quiet environment and is just playing with his sister and the people he loves. Dae Dae met the house cat and gave him his distance. He would do well in a home with cats and a home with another playful small dog! Dae Dae is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66b916d243d9601f34044529 Please email michelleboswell@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable with new people. But once I get to know them, I'm very loving.I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. My adoption fee is $50 Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Story
Rob Roy is a very smart puppy dog! He learns commands quickly, is great in a crate, and sleeps through the night without much fuss. His energy level is moderate so getting in a few walks a week would be most ideal. Rob Roy can be a bit of a chatty guy, but one of his favorite pastimes is to be cuddled up on the couch sleeping. Rob Roy would love structure and consistency, in his life, to help with his confidence and sense security. He is currently fostered with a trainer and he would do best to continue his training as he is young. Rob Roy is very gentle with adults and children and loves being brushed. He is less interested in other dogs than he is his people, he would be perfectly happy to be your one and only. While he is good with dogs, he won't be interested in playing so a respectful dog sibling would be best. Rob Roy has taken quickly to house training, and going outside to potty. He is very good on a leash and loves going to the beach and river, tromping through the water and still remains focused on his person while doing these things. Rob Roy would be a great companion for all of the adventures you want to go on, big or small.

But have no doubt, I am a happy boy who is loving, devoted and eager to please once I feel comfortable in my surroundings.I am really BFF material. Plus I’m a handsome little bugger, already crate trained and housebroken. Good with other dogs, dog-savvy cats and respectful kids 12+. So why not give your new BFF Bowie here a chance? American Staffordshire Terrier 7 years old Female 60 pounds Kids · 6+ Dogs · Dog selective Cats · No Do you think I have “the look”? You know, so that I might set the canine modeling world on fire! I am also looking into design; my love line of fashion comes pret-a-porter, and I think it will look fabulous on you! Nothing beats a cozy sweater if you ask me. I do need an agent to help me get discovered—is that something that would interest you? You have seen enough episodes of America’s Next Top Model to give me some pointers, right? I’m on the search for only the best home, and it must come equipped with lots of snuggles. I am well on my way to becoming a doggy supermodel—I prefer to be the only dog and if I am going to be around other pups I do need very well managed, very slow intros. I absolutely adore calm children who know how to treat me with respect, but kitty cats best get out of my shot! You can even put a spotlight on my crate training, housebreaking, and obedience skills, and you’ll see that they are flawless. With your help and commitment, I know I can rise to icon status! Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Buttercup, 2yr old, spayed female, pitbull mix, 51 pounds. Buttercup resides in Houston, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Buttercup was saved from the county shelter and was housed with another dog, and went into a foster home with other pups. She was able to do integrate well but, because of her hearing impairment, she gets startled easily and becomes very defensive when surprised. It is not that she cannot be around other dogs but she needs time to feel comfortable and secure before letting her guard down. To alleviate this, we have found putting up a fence/x-pen and allowing her to see/"meet" the dogs before being let loose with them works best for Buttercup. Buttercup has learned some basic obedience using hand signals and tactile marks, and has learned to connect seeing other dogs with a long tap on her right shoulder. Her ideal home would be one who sees her hearing challenges as an opportunity to connect on a deeper level with her and will take the time to train Buttercup, whether on their own or through professional courses. Buttercup is very human friendly and affectionate. She's a gentle lovebug working to navigate her way through this world with the guidance of her human. She would do best with kids 10 years or older due to her size and hearing issues, which may result in her being startled by young kids. Buttercup is a solid 4/10 level dog - she can be playful and excited but her default is to sit back and watch, assess. She is well mannered and doesn't beg, and is overall easy to handle on the leash, with minimal reactivity on walks. She is fully house and crate trained, and enjoys snoozing in bed or riding in a car for adventures. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her?
