Story
Mia is a three year old white Boxer who’s spayed and up -to-date on all vaccines. It appears as if Mia has lived in an apartment til now, She walks well on leash. She has not been socialized and owner says that she doesn’t react well to other people or dogs, that she fights with other dogs. Owner says she’s not good with kids or cats. It sounds as if Mia requires a lot of work, patience and to be an only dog while that work is going on. She’s a great snuggler cause she’s got you all to herself. If someone is serious about Mia, please fill out an application at SCC.com. (No cost or obligation to you.) Her adoption donation is $200August 19, 2024, 6:18 am

My adoption fee is $100 Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable with new people. But once I get to know them, I'm very loving.I need a home without cats. We just don't get along - even if they don't mind me, I can't be in the same home with them. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me. My adoption fee is $50 Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Vancouver WA.
