Story
Hi! My name is Rita and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on January 17, 2025 along with my entire family.I weigh 48.0 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I must admit I can be tad shy at first, but I warm up to new people quickly. Once I get to know you I get super wiggly and want to be close to you :)My caregivers state that I love playing with Pomona (A722815) in the yard. I am probably a dog that will do well with other dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Johnny 2 YO 80 Pounds Kid & Dog Friendly Leash Trained Fostered in Prineville, OR Hi, I'm Johnny! I am a very loyal and attentive companion; I love nothing more than being with my people and making them happy. I like car rides, walks, and snuggling. Occasionally I am lucky enough to go for a run alongside my humans that are on their quads. I am leash comfortable but will occasionally cross paths or change sides with my human.  That can cause some confusion, but at least I don't use my 80 pounds to try to pull my human along. I forget where, but I was taught to sit, and I insist on a proper handshake to celebrate my accomplishment every time. From time to time, I enjoy playing with my toys, especially a good chewy.  My humans treat me with them from time to time when they think I have been a good boy, and I really look forward to that. I am potty trained and will do everything in my power to let you know when I need to go out. I would even use a dog door if you had one. I am capable of being left alone; I just am not a huge fan of it, I would prefer going with you. My foster family has a couple of Chihuahua's and cats, the cats don't want to play, and I respect that, the Chihuahua's keep me in line, they are kind of bossy. As you can tell, I am good with other dogs and cats, even small ones. I am looking for an active family that is willing to take me along on adventures, and spend a lot of time snuggling. If you are looking for a loving boy like me, click my link so I can shake your hand. Story
Hi, I'm Chantelle! I'm a 12-week-old, 13-pound bundle of love with a heart as big as my floppy ears. My mom is a full Boxer, and my dad is a Lab mix, so I’ve got the best of both worlds!I had a rough start to life when my owner abandoned my mom, siblings, and me during a freeze, but I haven’t let that dim my spirit. I’m sweet, smart, and super cuddly. I love meeting everyone—humans of all ages, dogs, and even cats! Whether it’s playtime or snuggle time, I’m always ready to be your best friend.I’m looking for a forever home where I can share my love and grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be. Could that be with you?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 23, 2025, 4:14 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Buddy is an estimated 6-year-old 80 lb male Boxer Bully mix who is social and friendly with people and dogs. He was surrendered to the rescue when his owner passed away and the family worked to find safe placement for him and another dog in the home. Shelters were full. A neighbor was feeding the dogs who were left for weeks with access to a yard thru a dog door. Buddy is grateful to be in foster care now, and has had a recent vet exam. He is in good health and finally neutered. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Updates:  Buddy is a lovable, calm, low maintenance guy! When he arrived, he was a little chunky and not too active. We're a relatively active family and he's come to love our daily 2-mile walks. He really gets excited to go outside!  He's also starting to run around the backyard a little more now that he's slimmed down a little bit. That said, he's pretty chill and loves to cuddle. He's a solid 80lbs but thinks he's a lap dog. We’d recommend a family with mid-level activity. He's good on short hikes, daily walks, and moderate exercise, but we don't think he'd be a good running partner for hard-core athletes. He’s fully house trained and though not a huge fan of his crate, once he goes in he’s quiet and doesn’t bark or whine. Buddy loves car rides and is easy to take around in the car. He's content to stay in one place, especially if he has an open window. We think Buddy would be a good fit in a house with a yard or even a condo. He just needs a walk and some love & attention. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with lifetime registration and a recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Buddy was picked up as a stray about 4 years ago in eastern WA and lived in a home until recently when his owner passed away. It took about six weeks for the the family to find rescue placement. Buddy is now in foster care in North Bend, and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. January 21, 2025, 7:46 pm

Story
MEET BEAUTIFUL TILLY, the biggest snuggler ever! Tilly is a beautiful black-and-white 4-year-old Boxer/Pit mix girl who loves, loves, loves to cuddle on the couch or the bed, gaze into your eyes and show affection. She also loves to give hugs, and is a Velcro dog through and through. She does love to play with male dogs, but wants to be the only dog in a home because she gets jealous and has resource-guarding tendencies with other pups. Tilly will do great with an active person or people who love to go for hikes, walks or other outings. She's a typical goofy Boxer mix full of life and fun. At home, she'll be thrilled to sit on your lap and watch television. She's extremely smart, attentive, and enthusiastic, and will make a great dog for a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. She weighs about 68 lbs. She is currently in the Greater Seattle area and needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.
