Story
Meet Rosie, a super sweet girl with a heart as big as Texas! Rosie had a bit of an adventurous stint as a stray, but now she's all set to find her perfect forever home.Rosie is a furry socialite who gets along wonderfully with her fellow doggie pals. However, she does have one little quirk—cats and Rosie aren't exactly a match made in heaven. Those frisky felines tend to trigger her playful chase instincts! When it comes to humans, Rosie is a total cuddlebug. She's convinced she's a lap dog and won't hesitate to hop right up for some quality snuggle time. But here's the fun part: Rosie's got a spirited teenage attitude. When she's told "no" or caught doing something she shouldn't, she's not one to back down quietly—she'll talk back with all the sass!If you're ready to bring a sweet and silly addition to your family, Rosie is more than prepared for her forever home. And yes, she's absolutely transportable, so don't let the Texas distance discourage you, transport only costs $230. Apply today and let the fun begin! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Animal Profile: Paige is an estimated 3-year-old, 65 lb female Boxer Pitbull mix who was a stray intake at the Lancaster shelter in Los Angeles County. She was kenneled with another dog where she was very shut down and nervous. We pulled her from the euthanasia list and are getting to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Paige is a sweet dog with plenty of enthusiasm for life! She can be an only dog or part of a multiple dog household with proper introduction and structure -- she is not a fan of "puppy energy" in her space. She is a super sweet dog whois calm 90% of the time and very excited to see you the other 10%. She loves spending time with her people and does very well at dog friendly establishments like cafes and breweries! She loves to go on adventures with you and does great in the car. Paige would do best with someone who is able to spend lots of time with her at home (work from home is great) or take her places with them -- she does have separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone. Paige has excellent leash manners and does very well on walks. She  will need a secure yard and not to be out alone in it. She has a calm disposition and has done fine with the a dog-savvy resident cat. She has done great with the people in her foster home, including a dog-savvy pre-teen. She is potty trained and is using a large plastic travel crate that she feels secure in as it is only open in the front. If you are looking for an adventure dog who likes to chill when you are home, Paige is your gal! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the the high kill Lancaster animal shelter and transported to Seattle area foster care 9/22/24. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.December 7, 2024, 4:05 pm

Story
King 2 YO 100 Pounds Dog & Dog Savvy Kids Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Creswell, OR   Hi, I’m King! I want to tell my heartwarming story of resilience. I am a sweet former stray pup who has survived the streets with charm and smarts.  My foster says I have the most soulful eyes that tell anyone who looks that I have lived some hard times, have some stories, and am on the road to a new and better tomorrow. I am the kind of pup that bonds with my human and if I have the chance, I will velcro to your side every minute possible, I don’t want to miss out on any of the good things and I am fiercely loyal. I am always eager to go with my fosters wherever they go, whether it's a stroll in the park, a walk on the beach, or a cozy evening  on  the couch. With every wag of my tail, I show a deep seated desire for love, understanding, and safety. It's just me saying that, I had a rough start and am a little rough around the edges, but I'll  do whatever you ask me to.  Teach me, love me, and I will be your loyal companion for life.  I have a gentle nature, am submissive, loyal and loving with a dash of mischievous for spice. There has to be some spice in life, right? I am hoping for the right person to love and be loyal to, and am looking for the good life. I really don’t require much, I would be thrilled with just one person to focus on, my primary person, with a spare or two to cuddle now and then. I would enjoy a fur sibling to play with of the K9 variety. I am still young and a puppy in many ways so I am still learning and honing my skills. I feel I need to protect my home and family so I will let you know when we have visitors, once I know they are welcome, I will welcome them with tail wags.  I am good with kids but am a big boy so dog savvy kids would be ideal for me. If you are looking for a big, young boy, that will show you fierce love, loyalty, and companionship, then I am your guy. I am hoping for the love and patience of an active family that will continue to work with me on my skills, manners, and show me all of the good things a loving family can be. Story
Mable 5 YO 52 Pounds Kid Friendly Crate Trained Fostered in Maple Valley, WA Hi, I’m Mable! My foster says I could make a fortune if I opened a kissing both. I think I may offer my services to the rescue for a fundraiser. Kissing is my favorite thing to do, it is my love language. Doing zoomies in the back yard is my second favorite activity. When I wear out I have to drink some water and take a nap in my kennel, it is the life, a routine like this that involves napping, you can’t go wrong. I love my people, so when I can see you, even from my crate, I am very happy, I don’t care to be left alone. I am learning to enjoy the car rides, mostly because that way I am with my people. I am getting better all the time and have made great progress jumping in and out. I am very food motivated so it makes learning all the new things very easy like walking on a leash, and it is helping put on some healthy weight. My foster parents have me confused with a cat and have taught me to do my business in the gravel part of the back yard, it works though, I have nice grass to play in with their 4-year-old grandson. I am very gentle with everyone especially with kids and my toys, I really enjoy kids, but may need a little more sniff time with the new adults I meet. A quick sniff of your hand will help me trust you. I am a very happy and friendly gal, my little tail wiggles all the time and my face will light up any room. I am not sure about other dogs, so I need more time to get used to being around them, slow and calm setting introductions may help me make friends with others. I am looking for a family that will continue my training, let me love them and of course kiss them, and show them all of the wonderful Boxer qualities that I have. If you would like to meet me and see what all this kissing is about, click my link. Story
Remi 1 year old Male Boxer-Shepherd Fostered in Beaverton, OR   Meet Remi, a big loving, and curious 1 yo boxer-shepherd with lots of fun puppy energy! He thrives on daily walks and absolutely loves playing in the water. His playful nature and adventurous spirit make him such a joy to be around.   Remi needs regular exercise like any young energetic pup and a spacious, fenced yard to explore. He’s housebroken, uses a doggy door, and is crate trained, though he prefers to roam free indoors and is a good boy. Providing him with plenty of chew toys is essential, as he loves to chew though!   Well-behaved and with basic obedience training, Remi gets along well with men, women, children, and other dogs. Remi is a bit fearful of new people due to his lack of socialization but he warms up quickly.    Remi would thrive with an active family who understands his fearful nature and can help him with his confidence through more training, regular safe social outings and patience while he blossoms into the best boy ever. We would love to see him find a forever home with an established confident older pup to help him feel safe. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion, Remi is ready to find his forever home. If you’re ready to meet your next buddy, consider submitting an application today. Story
Bubbles 2 YO Female 55 Pounds Dog Friendly Leash Trained Fostered in Yelm, WA Hi, I'm Bubbles! If you are reading this, then I know you will want to meet me. I have yet to meet someone I haven't liked, I will show you how much with a big Boxer hug. I love car rides and snuggles, walks are nice too. I have been working very hard in my foster home to learn leash manners and all the things you look for in a well behaved young lady. I do love my foster brother, but sometimes I forget that I don’t have to guard my toys and foster mom from him. I just need gentle reminders and encouragement to know that its ok to share.  My foster brother and I have a lot of fun together,  we do zoomies in the yard every day and even around the house sometimes. My foster brother knows that I like to be the boss and he lets me, so it would be best if I have any siblings that they are more submissive because I like to be the girl in charge. I am not aggressive or possessive over my food, my foster brother and I eat together, just in separate corners. I know that I would really enjoy a buddy in my new home. I have grown very fond of my foster family and don’t enjoy it when they leave, but I am patient when left free roaming in the house while they are gone. I have been very respectful, not destructive, and haven't chewed up anything. Crates are scary for me so I would prefer to wait and watch out the window till you get home. At night I would love to sleep in bed with you sharing a pillow, but I do just fine on my dog bed next to you if that’s not your thing. I am looking for an active family that will continue my training, help me feel secure and safe, and allow me to show you all of the Boxer love, hugs, and snuggles you can handle. See, I knew you would want to meet me so click my link!
