Story
Missy 2 yo female Older Kids Only (12 and up) Not Cat Friendly Dog Friendly Needs Dog Companion Fostered in Tacoma, WA My name is Missy and I'm about 2 years old. I was found all alone and very hungry. Some nice people saved me and took me to a shelter. One day a lady picked me up and helped me get to my foster family in Tacoma. I was really skinny (my foster family calls me Skinny Minnie) and I have worked very hard to gain weight. My favorite words are "hungry" and "eat." I have a bit of stranger danger, but with patience and love I come around pretty quickly. Now I feel much better and I really like my family. I have a (dog) foster sister and a brother too. They help teach me manners and let me know I am safe. I'm learning how to play with toys and take walks on a leash. I LOVE to chase my ball around the yard. Squeaky toys are also my favorite. Did someone say zoomies? I'm the fastest pup you'll ever see! Car rides are so much fun. I always wear my seat belt and like to look out the window. Cuddles and belly rubs are the best! I know if my unicorn blankie is on the couch it's time to snuggle my hoomans. My foster mom thinks that if I was allowed on the bed I would sleep right on the pillow and steal all the blankets. She's right! I always want to be with my people but sometimes they have to leave me at home. That's ok though because when I hear "load up" I walk nicely into my crate and wait for my treat. I know they'll be back soon and then I'll get ANOTHER treat! If you want a cuddly, smart, super-zooming pup you should adopt me! I'm waiting for you! https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this pretty girl, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue August 18, 2024, 11:57 pm

Story
King 2 YO 85 Pounds Dog & Kid Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Olympia, WA Hi, I'm King! Don’t all kings have gold? Well, I do, I have Golden Retriever to enhance my good looks. I am very soft, with a long tail, and your typical Boxer face. I love going on walks and am amazing on my leash, I also love to go on car rides and hang my head out the window. Right now, I live with my foster brother and we love to do zoomies in the yard and race, I always try to beat him, so far, I am the reigning champion. A buddy to play with in my new home would be great for me. I was hungry when I came into rescue from California, so I am learning that from now on I will be getting meals and treats every day and don’t have to worry about sharing my food. A slow feeder has really helped me savor every bite. I do well with kids that are respectful after I do my research and I sleep peacefully in my crate whenever needed. My foster family says any family would be lucky to have me. Story
Magnus 3 YO 63 Pounds Kid & Dog Friedly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Orting, WA Hi, I’m Magnus! I am searching high and low for a forever family that has a strong leader that will show me the ropes. I need to do my research about people and new situations, survey the land so to speak. It would be ideal if I could find a family that will work with me and be consistent so I can be the best dog. I love going on walks and car rides, but sneaking a snuggle session with my people is my most favorite thing. I also really love to play with the other dogs, just one at a time though as multiple dogs at once tend to make me a little nervous. I am hoping for a yard or somewhere that you could watch me do my zoomies, because I am super-fast. Playing tag in the yard with my foster family is always fun, mostly because I’m never it! My peeps just can’t catch me but boy do I get tired after a while. I would also love to have kids in my family but older or dog savvy kids would be best as they don’t tend to leave all the little kid toys all over for me to chew on, but I will drop something when I’m told or leave it if you see me approaching something I shouldn’t. I can’t wait for a meet and greet with you! You will not regret it, that's for sure, I am an all around loving, active, playful guy that would make a great addition to your family. Story
Harper 18 MO 55 Pounds Leash Trained Kid Friendly Fostered in Black Diamond, WA Hi, I’m Harper!  I am your typical young Boxer that is the whole package. I love to be with my people, in fact, I just love people. I have been dubbed a Velcro dog, I want to be with you wherever you are. I enjoy hanging with my people in the kitchen, watching TV, going for walks which I am always ready for, and if you roll over in bed you will find my mug right on the pillow next to you. I am a very trustworthy, respectful girl, I am not destructive when left in the house when no one is home, I feel very anxious when I am put in a crate so I prefer just to patiently wait for you to get home by the front door or window. We all have our vices, mine is balloons, I love them, playing with them and hitting them so they stay off the ground, just like a little kid. I am learning to be more adult and have discovered that I prefer to be in charge, so if I had a buddy in my new home, they would need to be the same size or larger, and on the submissive side. If you are looking for a true companion to keep you company, that is active, loving, and a super snuggler, then I am the girl for you. Click my link so we can meet. Story
Barkley 2 YO 52 Pounds Crate & Leash Trained Kid Friendly Fostered in Federal Way, WA Howdy folks, I’m  Barkley! My foster dad call me Barkalini, and I love it.  Not to toot my own horn, but I am the coolest Boxer in town! I am the epitome of chill, always ready to make new furry friends, and greet everyone with my wagging tail. I absolutely love being outdoors, whether it's a hike in the woods or a lazy day in the park, just don't ask me to deal with sprinklers—those are my sworn enemy! I am a pro on the leash, making walks a breeze and so much fun. My friendly demeanor makes me a hit with other dogs, kids, and people alike. With my laid-back attitude and love for adventure, I would be the perfect companion for any outing. I currently use a doggy door well when left at home and need to go out, you'll find me doing zoomies at 5 am, 2 pm, and 9 pm with my Boxer sister. I would love to have a buddy in my new home to pal around with and continue my zoomie routine. I am good at joining in on barking adventures with my friends but know when to cut it off. I don’t mind car rides but my preference is the safety and security of the ground. Like most boxers, my floppy lips store food and water and make me a mess sometimes, but I chalk it up to what makes me so handsome and charming. My laid-back attitude, love for adventure, and cuddly nature, make me the perfect companion for any outing and any family. If you are looking for a guy like me, click my link. Story
Mable 5 YO 52 Pounds Kid Friendly Crate Trained Fostered in Maple Valley, WA Hi, I’m Mable! My foster says I could make a fortune if I opened a kissing both. I think I may offer my services to the rescue for a fundraiser. Kissing is my favorite thing to do, it is my love language. Doing zoomies in the back yard is my second favorite activity. When I wear out I have to drink some water and take a nap in my kennel, it is the life, a routine like this that involves napping, you can’t go wrong. I love my people, so when I can see you, even from my crate, I am very happy, I don’t care to be left alone. I am learning to enjoy the car rides, mostly because that way I am with my people. I am getting better all the time and have made great progress jumping in and out. I am very food motivated so it makes learning all the new things very easy like walking on a leash, and it is helping put on some healthy weight. My foster parents have me confused with a cat and have taught me to do my business in the gravel part of the back yard, it works though, I have nice grass to play in with their 4-year-old grandson. I am very gentle with everyone especially with kids and my toys, I really enjoy kids, but may need a little more sniff time with the new adults I meet. A quick sniff of your hand will help me trust you. I am a very happy and friendly gal, my little tail wiggles all the time and my face will light up any room. I am not sure about other dogs, so I need more time to get used to being around them, slow and calm setting introductions may help me make friends with others. I am looking for a family that will continue my training, let me love them and of course kiss them, and show them all of the wonderful Boxer qualities that I have. If you would like to meet me and see what all this kissing is about, click my link.
