Story
Hello! My name is Blues I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m looking for a new home. I can be a bit scared of strangers at first and sometimes bark at them, I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `down` and `shake`.I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing! If left unleashed I will go explore the world without you and a 6ft fence won`t stop me.I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I weigh 65.2 bs which makes me a large breed dog. I would likely do best with older, dog savvy children who are accustomed to big dogs. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
He is afraid of people since he hasn't met many people or seen many. He was raised in a rural area. He is very open to new things other than that and tends to get excited about new things if you show him it is okay. He is loving and very energetic and playful, it is best that he has other dogs to play with or people, and plenty of space, but if you have a healthy house and are loving and are able to socialize him/give him the attention he needs, I know he will love you regardless. He is reactive and until he is socialized better, which we aren't able to do for him right now, he will probably continue to be reactive to new people which takes a toll on my wife's mental health and is an untenable situation as much as it breaks my heart. My wife is currently working 50 hours and living in a tiny house with 2 other dogs at her mom's farm while I am deployed. We have found that her PTSD from a serious childhood dog attack is really bad when she trains Boone as he is older now.

Story
Sarge is a great dog, but I think he would be happier with ahuman who works from home or another dog friend. He knows sit, but is still working on other commands, he loves to snuggle, no aggression (and I have manhandled him), great with kids, cats, other dogs, new people, sights and sounds. He heels on a leash with minimal pulling if he sees a new friend, housebroken, working on crate training (he knows it means we're leaving so he doesn't want to go in). He's really smart and likes puzzle toys. He comes with a new wire crate, two dog beds, raised bowls, food, treats, toys, leash, collar, harness, poop bags dumpster (so you don't have to carry the bag). He is a really great dog, pretty calm indoors, likes to fetch but won't "drop it". Loves to be with his people and I feel bad for crating him during the day. He was with other dogs previously and I think he would be happier with a friend, but he would also be great with a human companion that is home more often than not.

Story
Charlie is a 1.5yo neutered Boxer (50%)/German Shepherd/Husky Mix who was saved from euthanasia in Modesto, CA. He LOVES the company of other dogs, plays well, very submissive, and is good with cats! Sweet Charlie was clearly abused in his past, and as a result he is slow to trust humans and prefers the company of furry friends. With time and patience, he is the sweetest lovebug and regularly seeks out his foster mom for pets. Charlie is potty trained and kennel trained, but still working up to leaving the house on leash willingly so will need a home with a fully fenced yard.  This beautiful boy is ready to be spoiled. To help Charlie settle in his furever home, his foster mom has offered to pay for one virtual session with the trainer they have been working with (All Ears Petcare), upon completion of adoption. Dog Name: Charlie (fka Roscoe) Good with dogs? Yes, extremely  Good with kids? Older kids Good with cats? Yes Has experience on a leash? In progress Potty trained? Mostly  Crate trained? Yes Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In crate Where does the dog sleep? In crate When does the dog eat? Twice per day 7am/7pm 2.5c each meal. He also takes medications in a pill pocket What does the dog eat? Purina pro plan chicken, plus probiotics and treats of all kinds  Temperament/Personality: Charlie is extremely skittish and fearful of people, but has made great progress in his foster home. He loves other dogs, looks to them to show him what to do. He is neutral with the cats, no prey drive displayed. Charlie is very submissive to other dogs and does not resource guard at all. It’s clear that he wants to trust his foster people and with some patience and training will get there in his future home!  What does the dog's ideal home look like? Charlie would do best in a quiet home with another dog (or dogs) and a fully fenced yard. His furever people must be very patient and prepared to give him plenty of time and space to adjust.  What are the dog's strengths? Charlie is ultra-dog friendly, very submissive. When under pressure or cornered, he will pancake or try to hide but never react with violence.  What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? We are working on him going on walks without fear, and adjusting to a busier home than when he first came to into foster.  If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? None, he would prefer to be out of the public (or any human) eye  If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Working through my PTSD and anxiety, looking for a stable and loving home to help me gain confidence!  Beach or Mountains? So far, home and couch. We’ll get there!  Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? He seems to like to chew a bit now but hasn’t been too interested yet. Squeaks get him excited about playing but not with the toy.  Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share a loving and quiet home." What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Freeze dried beef so far!   Trainer Notes What does the dog’s ideal future home look like?  Charlie would likely do well in a home with at least one other friendly dog, and/or cat to show him the ropes. Charlie does well in a pack and is very submissive. The other pets in the home will help win over Charlie’s affection. Charlie would do well with owners who have experience with fearful dog behavior or who are willing to work with a positive reinforcement trainer from the start. Charlie will freeze  when approached by a new human and not settle without guidance. A fenced backyard will help Charlie to move around and bond with his new dog pack while reducing the leash training at the start. What is Charlie currently working on?  He was shut down from the extended time in the shelter. Fear shows up from loud noises and fast movements, Charlie is overly cautious about humans, leading us to believe he’s been abused. We see this from his pancake behavior on leash. He wants to trust his new family. He is willing but is fighting his survival mode of fight/flight/freeze.  Decompression and settling into a home environment to bring out his personality. Trusting humans again is our biggest priority since he had been so shutdown.  Building confidence and trust with people. Leash walking instead of stopping.  What should his furever family be prepared for?  Charlie will be more willing to approach you if you love your current pets. Be prepared to train all the dogs in a group until Charlie trusts you enough not to shut down from full attention.  Charlie may hide under a table or find a corner spot for his bed to settle and observe. He should be allowed to build trust at his pace and affection should not be forced upon him; he will eventually seek affection and physical comfort. He is seeking to trust but is currently very nervous around new people.  www.northwestwagrescue.org Adoption $500 ##2054770##

Name: MollyBreed: Boxer mix.Sex: FemaleAge: 1 year old.Size: Medium.10 kg/22 lbs  Molly is a very active and happy dog with a playful and protective personality. She was found alone on the street on a rainy day, suffering from anemia and infested with fleas. Her condition was so severe that you could see her bones. Molly is good at walking on a leash, goes to the bathroom in the designated spot, and is ready for more training due to her good temperament. Molly needs a family that enjoys an active lifestyle, including walks and runs to help manage her energy. She responds in an environment with well-defined boundaries and ongoingtraining. Story
Special Considerations: no other pets, available for permanent foster Meet Tesla! This snuggly girl was dumped by her breeder and has been with us her entire life! She is the most loving dog you will ever meet and quickly became a staff favorite. She has a neurologic disorder that causes fecal incontinence, but she’s very familiar with diapers and prefers to go outside. She loves chasing water from the hose and chewing her toys, but she really loves cuddling up on your lap. She doesn't like to share her people or things so she needs to be the only pet in the home, but she’s the best cuddler with her favorite people. If you’ve been looking for the most wonderful and wiggliest boxer, Tesla is your girl! Tesla is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
