Story
Hello! My name is Blues I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m looking for a new home. I can be a bit scared of strangers at first and sometimes bark at them, I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `down` and `shake`.I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing! If left unleashed I will go explore the world without you and a 6ft fence won`t stop me.I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I weigh 65.2 bs which makes me a large breed dog. I would likely do best with older, dog savvy children who are accustomed to big dogs. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
He is afraid of people since he hasn't met many people or seen many. He was raised in a rural area. He is very open to new things other than that and tends to get excited about new things if you show him it is okay. He is loving and very energetic and playful, it is best that he has other dogs to play with or people, and plenty of space, but if you have a healthy house and are loving and are able to socialize him/give him the attention he needs, I know he will love you regardless. He is reactive and until he is socialized better, which we aren't able to do for him right now, he will probably continue to be reactive to new people which takes a toll on my wife's mental health and is an untenable situation as much as it breaks my heart. My wife is currently working 50 hours and living in a tiny house with 2 other dogs at her mom's farm while I am deployed. We have found that her PTSD from a serious childhood dog attack is really bad when she trains Boone as he is older now.

Story
Special Considerations: no other pets, available for permanent foster Meet Tesla! This snuggly girl was dumped by her breeder and has been with us her entire life! She is the most loving dog you will ever meet and quickly became a staff favorite. She has a neurologic disorder that causes fecal incontinence, but she’s very familiar with diapers and prefers to go outside. She loves chasing water from the hose and chewing her toys, but she really loves cuddling up on your lap. She doesn't like to share her people or things so she needs to be the only pet in the home, but she’s the best cuddler with her favorite people. If you’ve been looking for the most wonderful and wiggliest boxer, Tesla is your girl! Tesla is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

Story
Darling Chowder is also known as Mr Sweet and Gentle. He’s just a little over a year old and currently weighs only 48 lbs. He will be nicely filled out at about 55lbs. Chowder is such a gentle tempered, somewhat submissive boy that loves to meet new people. A socially active home would be ideal. He also thrives on his playtime with other dogs so another dog in the home would be best. He even gets along with the kitties. At some time in his early puppyhood, Chowder received an injury to his front elbow. It has fully healed, although the bone is a little displaced. This has caused one front leg to be shorter than the other so he does walk with a limp. He definitely does not know something is out of place because he loves to run and wrestle with the other dogs in his playgroup. According to the orthopedic specialist, he has no limitations when running around a yard or going for walks. He may even go hiking, but no jogging for this boy. With regular potty breaks, Chowder is doing great with his crate and house training. He must have a securely fenced yard and kids must be over 10yrs old.

Story
Ziggy is an older distiguished gentledog. He loves to be a couch potato. He does love going for a walk. He is always happy to see people and give them his paw. He follows commands and is crate trained. His nickname is "Tiger" because of his coat. He is very loving to people and selective to other dogs. Proper introduction is always a must. He wouldn't be ideal with a house that has small children. He is always eager to please. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1545628##

Story
Meet Brawny, a bodacious bundle of blundering bliss! He loves to frolic, do zoomies with his dog friends, and then is ready to cuddle up on the couch for a movie night.   This guy loves spending time with his humans and he adores having a dog friend! His ideal canine playmate is confident, easy going, and sturdy who can handle his rough and tumble ways. Brawny likes to bumble about and will sometimes bowl into anyone in his path, so he would appreciate someone who can take a hit, get back up, and go for more!  Brawny is super smart and eager to please, making training a pleasure! Are you looking for a hiking buddy? Look no further! Brawny loves the quiet outdoors and can’t wait to discover secluded trails and open fields with you and his doggy companion!  A sensitive soul, Brawny is looking for leadership and consistency in his forever home. He thrives with routine and boundaries, and once he bonds with someone, he’ll be a bro for life!  Brawny has spent some time around cats and just wanted to avoid them, so we think he would be ok in a home with kitties with proper introductions.  Brawny is about 4 years old and weighs 70 pounds. He is a Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix and 100% good boy! If interested in adopting Brawny, please fill out an application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application  Brawny’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped.  Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old. See more pictures of Brawny on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.840522174784138&type=3 ##986375##

Story
Harrison is a big brindle bundle of snuggles and fun who will make a loving addition to a lucky family! He is ALL about his people and when he isn't able to physically be near them, he will collect some of their belongings and snuggle them as a substitute. SO CUTE! This guy is pretty low-key and one of his all time favorite activities is snuggling on the couch. On top of being a snuggle champion, Harrison loves going for walks and leisurely strolls in quiet neighborhoods or open fields. Leisurely walks and snuggles, sign us up! Harrison also has firm ideas about bedtime and puts himself to bed when it gets dark outside. Hysterical! Harrison has spent time with older kids (10+) and he adores them. He’s very gentle and will solicit attention and pets and takes treats like a gentleman. Additionally, Harrison is a super smart pup, food motivated, and very eager to please! Harrison has recently been expanding his social circle and becoming friends with other dogs! We think he could join a home with another mellow, laid back dog with slow introductions, or he would be content as your one and only pup. Harrison is 9 years old and weighs 75 pounds. He is a pit bull type dog who insists he is a lap dog, but if you disagree, he is willing to compromise and only put his legs in your lap! If you're looking for a handsome, snuggly and loving addition to your family, Harrison could be for you! Harrison's adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Harrision at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application See more photos of Harrison on his Facebook album! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531973772305648&type=3 ##1588253##

Story
Tinsley is incredibly sweet, sensitive and smart and she’s ready to steal your heart! She adores her people and is eager to find her special person; get ready for some serious love and devotion! This clever girl is as smart as they come and lives for treats and praise. Give her a job, and she'll be your most devoted sidekick! Learning new tricks is her jam, and she's a quick study. Scent work and agility courses? Count her in!  Tinsley would love to have a confident dog friend in her home. She adores playing and has a rough and tumble play style with other dogs. A friend who appreciates a good tussle and can be tolerant of her silly antics would be her ideal match. Bonus points for a home with a large yard to romp in with her friend, and tall fences she won’t be able to jump over! This inquisitive girl LOVES to use her nose! Tinsley is all about getting her sniff on and being able to thoroughly investigate new environments. She is also great in the car and is the perfect copilot.  Once she gets her energy out, Tinsley is more than content to curl up on the couch next to you. Snuggles or lounging close to her human while they work is her favorite way to relax! She isn’t very comfortable being left alone and would be happiest in a home where someone is home most of the time.  We estimate Tinsley to be around 4 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She is a pit bull type dog who radiates happiness! If you are looking for a dog to dazzle you with their sweetness and smarts, then Tinsley could be your girl!
