Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Cody is a 5 - 6 year old Boxer mix who is looking for a loving, active and structured forever home! He is sweet but had a rough beginning so will need a rescue experienced home that will help him build trust, learn basic obedience and gain confidence. He will bond to his people and loves attention and affection. He loves treats and is glad to work for them! He has not had a lot of training so will need support with continued basic obedience. He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 16. He will thrive in a home where he can be active, he loves to run around, go for walks, and would make an excellent outdoor activity partner. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, roam and play. Cody is UTD on shots, has had a dental, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
Meet Abby! This beautiful 8-month-old, 33-pound princess is truly the most adorable and cute little girl you'll ever meet. She is a little survivor of 12, her mom was abandoned and at one day old, Abby and her 11 siblings were left in a box in the middle of nowhere with no shade. When we came for them after receiving a report from a neighbor of the owner, there were only 5 babies left alive, and we found the rest already dead inside a plastic bag with a knot in it. Abby grew up happy with her litter, they are very active and loving little ones. She is learning to walk on her leash, lives well with dogs and cats and is the most chubby of her litter. She is the smiliest and is very intelligent. It would be ideal for her to grow up in a home with children, she likes walks and although she is a little shy at first, she usually comes out of her shell quickly. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washignton. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Animal Profile: Buddy is an estimated 6-year-old 80 lb male Boxer Bully mix who is social and friendly with people and dogs. He was surrendered to the rescue when his owner passed away and the family worked to find safe placement for him and another dog in the home. Shelters were full. A neighbor was feeding the dogs who were left for weeks with access to a yard thru a dog door. Buddy is grateful to be in foster care now, and has had a recent vet exam. He is in good health and finally neutered. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Updates:  Buddy is a lovable, calm, low maintenance guy! When he arrived, he was a little chunky and not too active. We're a relatively active family and he's come to love our daily 2-mile walks. He really gets excited to go outside!  He's also starting to run around the backyard a little more now that he's slimmed down a little bit. That said, he's pretty chill and loves to cuddle. He's a solid 80lbs but thinks he's a lap dog. We’d recommend a family with mid-level activity. He's good on short hikes, daily walks, and moderate exercise, but we don't think he'd be a good running partner for hard-core athletes. He’s fully house trained and though not a huge fan of his crate, once he goes in he’s quiet and doesn’t bark or whine. Buddy loves car rides and is easy to take around in the car. He's content to stay in one place, especially if he has an open window. We think Buddy would be a good fit in a house with a yard or even a condo. He just needs a walk and some love & attention. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with lifetime registration and a recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Buddy was picked up as a stray about 4 years ago in eastern WA and lived in a home until recently when his owner passed away. It took about six weeks for the the family to find rescue placement. Buddy is now in foster care in North Bend, and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. February 27, 2025, 9:53 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Wickie Wuff is an estimated 10-month-old less than 40lb spayed female Texas Brown Dog (possibly Boxer with something smaller) who was dumped along with her siblings in October 2024 and has been fostered since with Fur Too Many Paws, TX rescue partner. She has been social and friendly with dogs and people, and does well in the home with 17!!! other dogs. She has experience with crating but has been sleeping out of the crate (doing great) in foster, and is quite the snuggler. This girl is athletic and can scale shorter fencing if inclined so supervision will be required in yards without secure fencing. Wickie tested well with cats and rides well in a car.  Foster Updates:  Wickie is settling in nicely with her foster family. They describe her as an absolute sweetheart with so much love to give. She’s a cuddle expert, always ready with kisses and snuggles. She’s playful, but not overly hyper - the perfect mix of fun and chill. Wickie loves playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another furry friend to romp around with. She can be a bit shy meeting new people at first but she warms up nicely and turns into a lovebug happy to hang out at your side. She’s got a few basics down but will need ongoing training and support to meet her full potential. She’s so eager to be with her people she’ll learn quickly with a committed family! We will continue to update her profile as we get to know her better.  Adoption Info: Wickie's adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration and health certificate. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/foster-application Animal History: Wickie was dumped along with her siblings in rural TX and taken in as a foster by our rescue partner Fur Too Many Paws. She was transferred to Seattle to find her forever home.March 11, 2025, 2:02 am

Story
Say hello to Bella, the charming and spirited pup who’s ready to steal your heart! Bella is all about playtime, especially with her fellow rescue pals—she could spend hours frolicking in the yard! While it may take her a little time to warm up, once Bella trusts you, she’ll shower you with endless affection and loyalty. Bella thrives on slow introductions with well-balanced dogs, making her an ideal companion for other furry friends that match her energy. She’s crate-trained and settles in easily, though her playful nature means doggy beds don’t stand a chance—they quickly become her favorite toys! Highly motivated by treats, Bella is eager to learn and responds well to training. She walks well on a leash but can get easily distracted, so a gentle leader might help her focus during outings. Though Bella prefers the comforts of home, she’ll need a little encouragement to embrace the joys of a walk. She can feel anxious around other dogs on her adventures, sometimes expressing her excitement a bit loudly. But remember, every rescue has their quirks, and Bella’s incredible qualities far outweigh any challenges! Bella is ready to find her forever home with a family that understands and loves her just as she is. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will fill your days with joy, Bella is the perfect match! To add Bella to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2149754##

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Ben is a ~10 year old, Pit Bull mix (roughly 80lbs) who is looking for his forever home where he can be spoiled and loved. He is our longest resident. Ben came to us around age 2-3 years old, and has been looking for his forever home with our rescue ever since! While Ben requires a specific home, he will make his perfect family very happy! Ben is a sweet senior who bonds deeply to his people and is very loyal. He would love nothing more than to take long walks with his owner and then cuddle up inside on a warm bed with a nice bone. He will need a home in a quieter neighborhood or area without lots of other dogs/animals around as he is not good with other dogs or small animals. He is not suited for apartment or city life. Ben is smart and LOVES treats and would thrive in a home that continues training and provides him structure. Ben requires a strong handler with large breed experience. He needs to be the only pet in the home, with no kids. Ben would love a forever home to spend his golden years. If you think your home is a match for Ben, apply on our website and a representative will be in touch if it looks like a good match! Ben is available for adoption in WA, ID, OR, and adopters must be able to drive to meet him. We do not transport our dogs. Ben's is up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $100.
