Story
Meet Bella, the charming and spirited pup who's sure to steal your heart! With her love for playtime, especially with well-balanced rescue dogs, Bella would happily spend all day frolicking in the yard. This smart girl isn't shy about expressing herself, and while it took her a bit to warm up to us, we know she'll do the same with her new family. Once Bella recognizes you as a friend, she'll shower you with affection like no other. Crate time is a breeze for Bella, though doggy beds don't stand a chance with her playful nature—they quickly become toys to shred! Highly motivated by treats, Bella responds well to training and is quite adept on a leash, although she can get easily distracted. A gentle leader might be the perfect tool to help her focus. Bella prefers the comfort of her own home and will need some encouragement to fully appreciate the joys of a walk. She tends to get anxious around other dogs during these outings, often voicing her excitement a bit too loudly. Remember, no rescue animal is perfect, but Bella's incredible qualities far outweigh her quirks. She's eager and ready to find her forever home with a family who understands and loves her just the way she is. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for. We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest & East Coast every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest, the East Coast or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you can see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets has been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animal travel has been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##2149754##

Story
Welah is a pretty, muscular, and energetic Boxer American Pit Bull Terrier mix with an estimated birthdate of 07/09/2020. She came to Murci's Mission after being picked up stray and going unclaimed in Chewelah. First and foremost, Welah is the snuggle queen. If you've been dreaming of a dog that sleeps under the blankets with their head on the pillows and thrives on being the little spoon, THISISYOURDOG Welah is very loving to people of all ages and sizes, and would do fine in a home with children.  She kmows basic skills and is presently crate trained and house trained with a number of basic obedience commands. She has developed great leash manners over the months of time at Murci's Mission, and she's able to be a great walking and jogging companion.  Welah's ideal family would be home bodies with a secure yard for exercise, or an active family committed to managing her manners in public. She loves going for walks, playing fetch, and she would be excellent at weight pull, carting, or other strength based sports. She's a 10/10 car ride companion and loves road trips. Welah has also been improving in her dog to dog social skills and is now suitable for a home with other balanced and fair dogs. She would still be far too overstimulated in a dog park or public beach type setting, however she's quite easy to handle on lead even in crowded areas when using the prong collar. Welah currently cohabitates with dogs, cats, and a toddler and she's tolerant of everyone, and especially fond of kids.  Welah comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes a sample of her food, medical records, leash, collar, herm sprenger prong collar and ID tag. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for checking out our girl!  ##1769428##

Story
Joji was in multiple shelters from when he was a baby until he was 1.5 yrs old - when I adopted him. His birthday is 1/22/2019 so he is 5. Joji is my best friend but unfortunately life happens and I am relocating and am not able to bring him with. He is great with dogs, cats, and children. Joji is going to do best with someone that can give him lots of love and time. He is house trained, very well behaved and all he wants is to be by your side. He is a gentle giant and such a lover, I’ve never met a better dog in my life. This breaks my heart and all I want is for him to go to someone that will give him all the love in the world.

Story
Hi my name is Rosie and I recently arrived to CAC through my local animal control. My history is a mystery and it is unknown how I will do with young kids. We do know I am not good with cats! I appear to do well with other dogs around the same size as me. Now don't let my salt and pepper face fool you, I still get the zoomies around the play yard! I am a gentle sweet girl who loves her scratches. Now lets find me a porch to sunbathe on! Please be sure you have the right amount of time space and resources to care for me for the rest of my golden years!
