Story
Bruno is a sweet and playful English Bulldog mix/Boxer with spina Bifida. He is mobile, but does wear a diaper due to incontinence. He takes gabapentin on a regular basis to treat mild pain along his spine. Bruno is great with other dogs, and was well socialized with cats in his prior home however we have no direct knowledge of this. He is a big clumsy dog so older kiddos would be best. Bruno will be a diaper kid lifelong. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. To apply for adoption, please go to www.lilyspadrescue.org and complete the online application.

Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old  (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix.  He will be a medium to large dog as an adult.  Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old.  Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots).  Rubble is the sole survivor.  He will be special needs throughout his life.  He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans?  When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper.  He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides.  He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects.  He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap.  He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health.   He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family.  He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home.    No apartments.   Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society. Story
Meet Doc, one of a litter of six puppies that were abandoned at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Fortunately, Doc and his siblings were quickly rescued, and have thrived in their foster home with excellent care, growing into gorgeous, healthy young pups. Doc is kind of an independent little guy, but he does love cuddling with his humans. He plays hard with his sister, Oreo, but he is otherwise a pretty easy going little guy. Doc is fully vaccinated, sterilized and ready to find his forever home. Are you ready to make this sweet boy part of your family?

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 65#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Charlie is a 1.5yo neutered Boxer (50%)/German Shepherd/Husky Mix who was saved from euthanasia in Modesto, CA. He LOVES the company of other dogs, plays well, very submissive, and is good with cats! Sweet Charlie was clearly abused in his past, and as a result he is slow to trust humans and prefers the company of furry friends. With time and patience, he is the sweetest lovebug and regularly seeks out his foster mom for pets. Charlie is potty trained and kennel trained, but still working up to leaving the house on leash willingly so will need a home with a fully fenced yard.  This beautiful boy is ready to be spoiled. To help Charlie settle in his furever home, his foster mom has offered to pay for one virtual session with the trainer they have been working with (All Ears Petcare), upon completion of adoption. Dog Name: Charlie (fka Roscoe) Good with dogs? Yes, extremely  Good with kids? Older kids Good with cats? Yes Has experience on a leash? In progress Potty trained? Mostly  Crate trained? Yes Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In crate Where does the dog sleep? In crate When does the dog eat? Twice per day 7am/7pm 2.5c each meal. He also takes medications in a pill pocket What does the dog eat? Purina pro plan chicken, plus probiotics and treats of all kinds  Temperament/Personality: Charlie is extremely skittish and fearful of people, but has made great progress in his foster home. He loves other dogs, looks to them to show him what to do. He is neutral with the cats, no prey drive displayed. Charlie is very submissive to other dogs and does not resource guard at all. It’s clear that he wants to trust his foster people and with some patience and training will get there in his future home!  What does the dog's ideal home look like? Charlie would do best in a quiet home with another dog (or dogs) and a fully fenced yard. His furever people must be very patient and prepared to give him plenty of time and space to adjust.  What are the dog's strengths? Charlie is ultra-dog friendly, very submissive. When under pressure or cornered, he will pancake or try to hide but never react with violence.  What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? We are working on him going on walks without fear, and adjusting to a busier home than when he first came to into foster.  If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? None, he would prefer to be out of the public (or any human) eye  If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Working through my PTSD and anxiety, looking for a stable and loving home to help me gain confidence!  Beach or Mountains? So far, home and couch. We’ll get there!  Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? He seems to like to chew a bit now but hasn’t been too interested yet. Squeaks get him excited about playing but not with the toy.  Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share a loving and quiet home." What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Freeze dried beef so far!   Trainer Notes What does the dog’s ideal future home look like?  Charlie would likely do well in a home with at least one other friendly dog, and/or cat to show him the ropes. Charlie does well in a pack and is very submissive. The other pets in the home will help win over Charlie’s affection. Charlie would do well with owners who have experience with fearful dog behavior or who are willing to work with a positive reinforcement trainer from the start. Charlie will freeze  when approached by a new human and not settle without guidance. A fenced backyard will help Charlie to move around and bond with his new dog pack while reducing the leash training at the start. What is Charlie currently working on?  He was shut down from the extended time in the shelter. Fear shows up from loud noises and fast movements, Charlie is overly cautious about humans, leading us to believe he’s been abused. We see this from his pancake behavior on leash. He wants to trust his new family. He is willing but is fighting his survival mode of fight/flight/freeze.  Decompression and settling into a home environment to bring out his personality. Trusting humans again is our biggest priority since he had been so shutdown.  Building confidence and trust with people. Leash walking instead of stopping.  What should his furever family be prepared for?  Charlie will be more willing to approach you if you love your current pets. Be prepared to train all the dogs in a group until Charlie trusts you enough not to shut down from full attention.  Charlie may hide under a table or find a corner spot for his bed to settle and observe. He should be allowed to build trust at his pace and affection should not be forced upon him; he will eventually seek affection and physical comfort. He is seeking to trust but is currently very nervous around new people.  www.northwestwagrescue.org Adoption $500 ##2054770##
