Story
Meet Nana, a female Pitbull/ Boxer mix!Nana came in as a stray, and is somewhat shy as she adjusts to the shelter. Nana is a super sweet girl, who once she knows you are gentle and soft with her, will come right up and melt into your arms for cuddles. Nana loves to be outside, and opens right up once she is out into the sunshine!Come meet Nana today! she is currently located at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don't Shop.

Story
King is four years old. He loves to go for walks, play toggle war with his toys. He is good with kids. I work in construction, so I’m always gone, currently right now He does stay with some of my renters at my house, but he doesn’t get the attention that he would like like have someone play with him go for a walk with him things like that. He’s a great dog I don’t really want to give him away but like I said I’m always gone. So if you think you can give king a good home and treat him good shoot me a text so we can talk about king. Thank you

Story
Adagio and his three siblings were found abandoned, left in a box out in the cold. After being examined by the vet their age was identified as 7-8 weeks old -born October, 2023. We do not know his breed(s) but based on the attached weight projection chart we believe he will be a medium sized dog (35-40ish pounds) when fully grown. (See photo on the scales-these were taken upon entry to the rescue). Adagio was the smallest in the litter but has almost caught up to his big sister cadence. Adagio, also known as dodgy or Gio, is a scamp that loves, Loves, LOVES food and eats his meals far too fast. We think this may be related to him being the smallest and possibly not getting adequate food when they were abandoned. In his foster home they scatter his food across the floor or put it in a snuffle mat or a kong to slow him down. Needless to say he is very treat motivated but most of his motivation is for the treat, not to perform. He does know sit, down and place and is working on other skills-he has excellent recall, he is crate trained and will go to his crate when instructed to do so and potty trained! Adagio is confident, outgoing, silly and energetic. He is currently living with other dogs and cats. Adagio would do great in a home with a fenced yard and a person or family that is committed to his continued growth and development and will cherish him for his lifetime. A canine companion would be great too. To apply: www.mikeyschance.com/adopt-a-dog
