Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Herbie find loving homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Could your family be the one Herbie's been waiting for? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 4, 2025, 12:35 pm

Story
🐾 Meet Our Incoming Sweet Treats: Rocky Road, Phish Food, Moose Tracks & S’mores! 🍦🍫 Coming soon to Sunny Bear Rescue, we have four absolutely sweet and lovable little girls who are sure to melt your heart—just like their ice cream-inspired names! Rocky Road, Phish Food, Moose Tracks, and S’mores are making their way to us from a kill shelter, where we’re working hard to help keep the numbers down. These girls have had a rough start, but we know they are beautiful, loving pups who deserve a second chance at life. While we don’t know much about them yet, we do know they are Boxer and English Springer Spaniel mixes, approximately four months old. They are friendly with people, kids, and other dogs, but we’re not yet sure how they feel about cats. All four are underweight and will need some extra love and care to help them grow strong and healthy. They have short coats, no known allergies, and no bite history. As with most young rescues, we don’t yet know if they are house-trained—but we’ll learn more as soon as they arrive! These sweet girls are not yet spayed or microchipped, but that will be included in their adoption fee to ensure they are fully ready for their forever homes. Right now, we are looking for fosters to help ease their transition and keep our overall numbers at the rescue more manageable. Fostering provides them with a calm, safe space to adjust while we get to know their personalities better. We’ll be sharing updates on Rocky Road, Phish Food, Moose Tracks, and S’mores as soon as they arrive! In the meantime, send them good thoughts for safe travels—and if you’re interested in fostering or adopting, apply today!

These pups are in Richmond, Virginia too!

Story
***Out-of-Town Pet*** McLovin is currently in Crosby TX but is available to be transported to his forever home! Allow me to introduce you to McLovin, a charming and spirited pit bull-lab mix who will celebrate his 2nd birthday this coming January. He has a striking pure white coat adorned with tiny black dots at the very tips of his ears, which adds a unique touch to his appearance. More than just a pretty face, McLovin possesses an incredibly sweet disposition and a lively personality that makes him a joy to be around. McLovin's journey began when we rescued his mother from the streets, just one week before she gave birth to a litter of nine adorable puppies. From day one, we have lovingly cared for McLovin, who is the last remaining puppy from his litter. Unlike his siblings, who all found their forever homes through various adoption events hosted by another rescue, McLovin was adopted as a young puppy but sadly returned to us after only a few days. His new adopters felt that he was experiencing depression and insisted it was best to bring him back. However, it's important to understand that this response was completely normal; having spent his whole life in our care, McLovin was simply struggling to adjust to a new environment. In hindsight, it seems that it was fortunate for McLovin that he was returned, as it became clear that his previous adopters did not possess the patience or understanding required for a deaf dog. This handsome and lovable boy is now in search of a dedicated forever home where he can thrive and grow alongside a caring family. Despite his deafness, McLovin is not held back in any way. He is an energetic and playful dog who enjoys frolicking in the yard and exploring his surroundings. He eagerly engages with new friends, both human and canine. McLovin has an impressive eagerness to learn, and he responds enthusiastically to my silent commands communicated through hand signals. He has mastered several tricks, including sitting on command and giving high fives. Although he makes a genuine effort to stay in one spot when asked, his affectionate nature often leads him to seek out cuddles, hugs, and kisses, which is a testament to his loving spirit. Finding McLovin a remarkable and patient forever home is my ultimate goal, as he has so much love to give. If you are interested in bringing this sweet boy into your home and heart, please don't hesitate to reach out for more information or to arrange a meet-and-greet. Thank you for considering giving McLovin the loving family he truly deserves! If you're ready to welcome this sweet, handsome boy into your home, please fill out the form through the link below, and we’ll get back to you promptly. https://form.jotform.com/241765023842152 As part of our adoption process, we are committed to ensuring that this is the perfect match for both you and the animal. Finding your forever best friend is our priority, and we appreciate your trust in us to facilitate this important decision. When introducing other animals in your home, we strongly recommend a thoughtful and gradual approach with all of our rescues. Keep in mind that not all dogs will get along. They have their own preferences, just like people do. The same goes for interactions with children; it's crucial to prevent overwhelming the adopted animal during the first meetings. Take the time you need to assess how they interact. Please be aware that all adoption fees are classified as donations to support our mission and organization. If the dog is returned for any reason, the donation will not be refunded, as we will incur costs for their transportation back to us. Thank you for your understanding and for making a difference in the life of a rescue animal!

Story
***Out-of-Town Pet*** Miyuki is currently in Crosby TX but is available to be transported to her forever home! Meet Miyuki, your future furry friend! This adorable pure white pit bull mix is full of love and personality. At around 2 years old, she’s just recently been spayed. You can tell she might have been used for breeding before, as her teats hang a bit low, but don’t worry—we're confident they will return to normal as she continues to grow. Miyuki is in great health and has tested negative for heartworms, making her a wonderful companion for years to come. When it comes to playtime, this sweet girl loves to have fun but prefers it to be on the calmer side. She knows how to speak up for herself and will gently let other dogs know when she needs a break. She also has a bit of a curious streak when it comes to cats! She’s very interested in them, though it’s hard to say if she wants to chase them or just play. Around people, Miyuki is such a relaxed and easygoing girl. She loves nothing more than to lounge around the house or take leisurely walks, enjoying her surroundings at her own pace. We think Miyuki would do best in a home with someone who has experience with pit bulls. She’s a strong girl with a little stubbornness, which means she might need some training with basic commands. The good news is that she seems pretty smart, so we’re sure she’ll pick things up quickly with a little patience and love! One delightful aspect about Miyuki is her pure white coat, which led us to worry about potential deafness; however, we are relieved to report that she is not deaf! If you’re interested in giving this sweet girl a loving forever home, please fill out the form below. Thank you for considering making Miyuki a part of your life! https://form.jotform.com/241765023842152 As part of our adoption process, we are committed to ensuring that this is the perfect match for both you and the animal.
