Story
Look out! Here comes Apricot! He was found in a vehicle’s engine in a busy downtown area by the vehicle owner’s dog, Percy. Percy would not get into the vehicle and kept barking and pulling on his leash at the front of the car. The owner looked under the car, checked the tires, finally popped the hood and there was Apricot, meowing up a storm. He was almost named Suburban but Apricot, to agree with his orange, won the naming contest. Apricot was lonely and scared but has adjusted to his new, cozy life in the home of a foster with numerous kitties to help guide and comfort him during this transition. He has settled in very well and is bonded with his new friend, Burrito. When he is not sleeping on top of the warm laundry pile, he is helping fold the laundry. It’s not working out very well. He unfolds more than the folds, by a lot. He also likes to sleep on top of the mail, often eating the bills, which I don’t object to. I just wish he would pay them instead. Apricot has been such a joy to my life. And soon to be a joy to your life!   If you are interested in adopting Apricot, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Approx DOB 08/26/2024 Adoption fee is $110.00 ##2310260##

Story
Bunny is a chill, gentle cat approximately 12 years old that I've had for 9 years when his original owner could no longer care for him. He likes to be around company sitting on the sidelines watching and is friendly with everyone. He doesn't like being picked up and will struggle to get out of your arms if you do but loves to be pet and can do tricks like high five, handshake and lie down (if treats are involved - he doesn't work for free). Only in the past year he's become difficult to take care of. He's been diagnosed with diabetes but seems to be a symptom of a greater issue that vets think might be acromegaly. Treatment for it is not an option for me financially and I am trying to simply manage his diabetes giving him increasing amounts of insulin as he displays signs of excessive water drinking and peeing for whatever life he has left. He is a fighter and has no problem eating, however he has started peeing outside the litter box and I am no longer able to properly care for him.
