Story
Double the Fun: Meet Jack & Sissy! Howdy, friends! I’m Jack Mac, a 49 lb orange and white Brittany boy, and I never go anywhere without my sister and best buddy, Sissy. We’re a bonded pair, which means you get double the love, double the fun, and double the cuddles! Why We’re Your Perfect Pair: I’m the Toy King: I love carrying my toys everywhere—it’s my thing! Fetch? Yes, please. Tug? You got it. Sissy might try to steal my toys, but I let her because I’m a gentleman. Cuddle Masters: Sissy and I are expert snugglers. If you’re sitting down, expect both of us to climb into your lap for all the love—and maybe a nap or two. Critter Patrol Experts: With a fenced yard, we’ll chase all the squirrels, birds, and leaves to keep your yard safe from boredom. Good with Everyone: Cats? Cool. Kids? Love them. Dogs? Bring it on. We’re a social pair who love making friends. Fun Facts About Me (Jack): I’m housebroken and crate trained (as long as I can see my sister—it’s a package deal!). I’m working on my leash manners, but hey, who doesn’t like a challenge? I know commands like sit, stay, come, and even “easy” (whatever that means, I’m just naturally cool). If you’re looking for a pair of loving, playful, and goofy pups, Jack & Sissy are ready to fill your home with laughter, love, and a whole lot of tail wags! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 The adoption fee for TX/Jack Mac, who lives in Sanger, TX  is $400,  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making TX/Jack  part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com  and/or Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Jack.  Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.  January 23, 2025, 3:55 pm

Story
Hi. My name is Pete. I'm a 4-year-old, orange and white Brittany who was born with cataracts in both eyes, then I went blind.    When I was blind, I engaged in compulsive repetitive   behaviors, such as spinning, barking, and pica (eating non-food items). The surgery was successful and I can see again. As a result, I acquired an additional compulsive behavior; eyeing light and shadows. Fortunately, with the help of medication, all these compulsive behaviors have improved a great deal, with the exception of pica.   My favorite toy is a black Kong. My foster mom gave it to me because I can't bite through it. I love to fetch and retrieve and could do so all day long.  Being able to see is such a blessing If I have difficulty finding my Kong when it bounces to a hidden place, I'm good at a game called Hot and Cold. I respond well to the command " leave it!" when I find something I want to put in my mouth. I also respond well to the command "drop!" after an object is already in my mouth.   I weigh 35 lb and like to stay active. Since I like to move around a lot, perhaps one day my foster mom could teach me how to wiggle my tush to " Nothing But a Hound Dog."   I'm not a picky eater and will swallow anything I put in my mouth. That is why I cannot be left alone unsupervised because I swallow things that I shouldn't. When I am anxious, white noise helps me to stay calm and focused.    I do not get along with other dogs and probably not cats. As for children, I don't know how well I would get along with them because I haven't really been exposed to them.   I walk well on a leash and have perfect recall. I'm up to date on all my vaccines and I am in good health. However, I require eye drops everyday once per day.    I love to ride in the car and watch the world go by. I want to please and will do anything I'm asked. Despite my pica, I am a happy dog and when I'm tired I will sit and cuddle on my foster mom's lap.    I'm very thankful for all the care I have received. It has been done with devotion by the people at nbran. I hope that soon I will be in a permanent home with a loving family.     I will need eye drops for life, and I really don't mind them. My foster mother tells me "Chin." This reminds me to rest my head in her hand so she can put the drops in my eyes.March 15, 2025, 11:24 am

Story
Tucker is a great family dog- unfortunately with change of events I do not have the best schedule with work to not kennel him for more than half the day which is not fair to him at all. He is a very happy and playful dog that just needs a good home.
