Story
Meet Buster. We don't know anything about his background as he was a stray that wasn't claimed. We haven't even guessed his breed. What we can tell you is that he's a very friendly boy. He loves to play and hang out with our volunteers. He's good on lead and is working hard on his manners and learning his basic commands. We believe he is fairly young (18 months?). He would do great in a busy household. He's been neutered and vaccinated.

Story
Scooby is now in a foster home and is doing VERY well!! Some notes from the foster: He's definitely feeling good. - He comfortably lets us touch his face, paws, and everything now. He loves to roughhouse with us and play tug-o-war and fetch, and when playing, we can pretty much do anything to him. Scooby just needed a few days to learn that he can trust us. So for potential adopters, as long as they're aware that Scooby had a rough start in life and needs a few days to build trust, they should have no issues. He's gentle with his mouth and loves to be touched. - He hasn't shown any reactivity on walks. Yay! Passing other dogs, squirrels, etc, is no problem. - He seems ok to be left alone in the house when we're out. We have yet to leave him for an extended period, but so far we have not seen separation anxiety. Scooby ended up with us after he was found tied up alone in a park. He is a very cute, loveable dog and is very easy to manage. We don't know a lot about his history but he definitely adores people. He hasn't met anyone he doesn't like. He has made some doggy friends already here at the shelter and we feel he could live with or without another dog. We are unable to test him with cats. He walks exceptionally well on leash and knows many behaviors and tricks already. He would love a home where he can receive all the love and attention that he deserves. He would probably be ok with older kids/teens as long as they are respectful of him. He has some boundaries about being handled so is not ideal for young children or first time dog owners.
