Story
This dog was found abandoned at the gate to the Shelter and Public Works area on South Front. She was not collared nor was she microchipped. She was dumped with two other dogs of the same age and breed, most likely siblings (Theo is still in our shelter, Thumper has been adopted). She is still very young and getting used to being walked on a leash. Our veterinarian advised that the day she was dropped off for her spay surgery she showed to have some separation anxiety as she jumped on the walls in the waiting kennel. She can be vocal. She has been allowed out in the same play yard as her siblings. She has not shown to be a digger or fence climber.

Our college student daughter saved this puppy from being injured or worse and has taken care of her since she was 4 weeks old until now, 17 weeks. Unfortunately, her apartment situation won’t accommodate this amazing puppy and our house is full with dogs. She’s a playful and happy dog who’s been loved by many.

Story
Moose 1 year old and is a very playful and energetic pup but loves to snuggle. He has a sweet demeanor but gets nervous around strangers. He also would do best as the only pet as he plays a bit too rough with smaller dogs, can irritate larger dogs and likes to chase cats. Older kids (teen) would be great with him but the younger kiddos may be a bit much for him as they can sometimes startle him and he may nip. He likes playing fetch, carrying around his favorite toy, running and hiking. He would do best with someone who is experienced with the breed or experience with training. He is a smart boy but can be a bit stubborn. I love my boy very much but I have another dog here and although they get along, he has had issues with other dogs and it makes me nervous. He would be better suited for someone who has more time for training and exercise for him.

This dog was found abandoned at the gate to the Shelter and Public Works area on South Front. He was not collared nor was he microchipped. He was found with his brother and sister. All three are very energetic puppies that want attention. They enjoy playing with each other and running the fences with the other dogs in the shelter. Theo has done okay on the leash when we have taken him to and from the veterinarian's office. He does jump when trying to get people's attention. He has not shown to be a digger or fence climber, but has pushed his head between the gates of the play yards. He can be pretty vocal.

Hobi is a big bubba who wants to play and eat treats all day. Ropes and sqeeky toys are his favorites. He is super playful, energetic, and loves to give kisses. Hobi was an inside and outside dog before he came to HSCC and was crate trained. A fence is prefered. He knows the commands sit, stay, and shake.
