I inherited this dog from my dad. She is super sweet and loves to cuddle. I just can’t afford her anymore. I have 3 cats and a dog of my own and my daughter has needs that are going to increase our costs so we just can’t afford her anymore.

Story
Little Bailey is 100% fun loving and playful. He is still under a year, so he is busy:) He is great with other pups and loves to be held (and he gives kisses!) He loves to run around the yard, and he also loves to snuggle. He is adorable, perky, and great! He was rescued from a high-volume shelter and when we saw his picture, we just had to grab him:) Cats don't love his energy, but he isn't aggressive toward cats. He loves to snuggle up in a little dog bed with a dog friend. He is about 11.5 lbs and cute as can be! He is pretty much house-broken but needs a routine and needs to be taken out regularly. He will start pacing and going in circles when he needs to potty. Come meet him at Petco one Saturday!  If you are interested in him, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.August 18, 2024, 4:15 pm

Story
Meet Glen, a remarkable 6 year and 9 month old, mixed breed weighing 27 pounds, with a heart as big as Texas. Glen's journey brought him to Camo Rescue's Houston facility in 2021, where he has been a beloved resident ever since. Glen is a dog full of love and energy, always ready for an adventure outdoors. His favorite activities include running around outdoors, splashing in water, and exploring every nook and cranny of his surroundings. He's potty trained and does good with leash walking. While Glen is a loving dog once he warms up to you. He comes with some challenges that require experienced handling. Glen is very kennel aggressive and doesn't appreciate correction. He struggles most during meal times as he resource guards his food. Glen's forever family would need to be understanding and capable of ensuring meal times are as safe and comfortable as possible for everyone involved. Despite these behaviors, Glen is deeply affectionate and fiercely loyal to those he trusts. For Glen to thrive, he would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the only dog, ensuring he receives the focused attention and structured environment he needs. His forever family must provide a secure and loving atmosphere, along with careful management of his behaviors. With patience, understanding, and the right environment, Glen promises to blossom into an extraordinary companion, enriching the lives of his adoptive family with his unwavering devotion and adventurous spirit. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this special boy, Glen is waiting to embark on his next chapter with you. Glen's adoption fee is WAIVED FOR THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Are you looking for a bold, scruffy little "Toto dog to add to your family? Harriet is 12 years old and weighs 13lbs. She is one sweet little girl who is cat friendly and gets on well with dogs around her size or smaller. This little girl seems to like everybody she meets. She loves to snuggle. The shelter from which she was rescued thinks she is a cairn terrier. Based on her personality traits, her foster mom tends to agree. She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. Harriet is heartworm positive but she has received a ProHeart-12 injection for treatment of this and will not need heartworm preventative meds until next May. Harriet does have some orthopedic issues, but they do not slow her down. They just make her walk funny. She will never run marathons but short, slow walks will help build muscle and improve her gait. She does have a heart murmur with minor valvular involvement but x-rays and an echocardiogram indicate she does not need medication at this time for any of her problems. Adoption fee is: $200 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet.
