Story
Paint is very special to me.She has a rough start.I couldn't afford a vet and she came from a ferel mom.I was able to get mom to come inside sometimes.I kept Paint from the litter of kittens. She seemed to have a lot of gut problems. At one point I thought I was gonna lose her.The power of prayer was the only thing that worked and she got better. Now she is beautiful and doing well at 14 years old.She will sit on my lap but she slaps her cat and dog sisters if they get to close. She is a inside cat.Has seen outside in a cage attached to a window

Story
Approximate Date of Birth:8/29/2021 Description:   My story begins with my siblings, and I being taken care of by a kind older lady, who helped us figure out a way off the streets. I'm by far the most observant and intelligent of my siblings and will try to find the highest perches in the house to be able to gaze down at my new domain. I am very thoughtful when presented with something or someone new and will be prone to assessing from a distance before I make the decision to interact on my own terms. Once you get the chance to know me, though, you will see that I am very gentle and empathetic and am always willing to brush against your legs and back to offer quiet reassurance. I love going inside boxes and running around; my favorite toys are the ones like wand toys or ribbons that you can participate in with me, but I also love ball tracks and puzzles when left to my own devices. Come by and say hi to me today! Words to Describe Me: vigilant, quiet, agile Favorite Place to Sleep: inside a box that has a blanket or a covered cat bed Favorite Toy: chasing after a wand toy/ribbon or batting at a toy through holes in a box Kitty's Likes: toys and cat trees, staring at fans (ceiling or on the floor), chin scratches Kitty's Dislikes: being held for too long Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: play time, petting when she's in the mood Good with Cats: Likes cats given a proper introduction.  Good with Dogs: Unknown. Good with Children: Can live in a house with children over the age of 12. Companion Animal:   Not necessary.                          Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age. Penny is FELV positive so she would need to be an only kitty or with another FELV positive cat. Veterinary care will be provided for this feline throughout their life by Saving One Life.   Learn more:   https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-leukemia-virus Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. Story
Approximate Date of Birth:10/1/2020 Description:  I'm the fabulous Taffy Truffles here to be your lifelong companion. I am a very mellow cat, but I can’t resist checking out what my favorite human is up to. No matter what I’m doing, I can’t resist the urge to come when I hear a box of toys shaking. Catch is my favorite game to play; throw a feathered toy far above my head and witness my acrobatic prowess. My favorite pastime is sitting by the window for a nice long view of nature. I also love to watch TV with birds or squirrels in nature. I need a long petting session with complementary playtime before settling for the night, otherwise I will cry for your attention. Brushing my body will easily earn you my affection and maybe earn you a belly rub. I must emphasize that I dislike being handled and I can sense your antics from a mile away. It may take a while to earn my trust as I am very anxious around new people and animals. With all things considered, I will be your best-est companion! Words to Describe Me: Skittish, Curious, Chatty, Relaxed Favorite Place to Sleep: A spot near the window Favorite Toy: Feathered wand Perfect Day: A day full of playtime followed by petting and sleeping Kitty's Likes: Playtime Kitty's Dislikes: Be handled or picked up Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Brushing my body Favorite Treat: Does not like treats Job Title in Foster: Watchcat When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Olympic gymnast Good with Cats:Ambivalent towards cats.   Good with Dogs:  Unknown. Story
Approximate Date of Birth:7/1/2024 Description:   Coral is an adorable, spirited little calico with a heart full of love. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her playful and affectionate nature shines through. Coral enjoys spending time with her siblings, racing around and chasing them in delightful kitty playtime adventures. Toys of all kinds are her favorite—especially if they involve a bit of a chase! This precious girl is also a big fan of Churo treats, which are her ultimate indulgence. They’re a great way to win her over as she warms up to her new family! Coral has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), but that doesn’t stop her from being a joyful, playful kitten. Coral can have many wonderful years ahead of her, and with the right care, she’ll continue to thrive. Coral would do best in a home with other FeLV-positive cats, or as your one and only furry friend.  Adopting an FeLV-positive kitten like Coral means you’re giving a loving, deserving kitty a chance at happiness. With time, patience, and lots of love, Coral will be a sweet, playful companion who brings joy to your home every day. Words to Describe Me: Playful, affectionate, shy at first Favorite Place to Sleep: Kitty tower and a fluffy kitty bed Favorite Toy: Fuzzy ball jungle ball Kitty's Likes: Treats and playing fuzzy ball Kitty's Dislikes: Belly rubs Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Churo treats Good with Cats:  Likes cats given a proper introduction. Good with Dogs:    Likes dogs given a proper introduction.  Good with Children: Can live with children over the age of 5. Coral tested positive for        FeLV                therefore she would need to be in a home with other FeLV kitties (or adopt one of the other FeLV kitties in the rescue) or she can be your one and only girl.  Saving One Life will provide veterinary care throughout this feline's life. Story
Approximate Date of Birth:1/15/2019 Description:   Hera is a sweet girl who is learning to trust again and show everyone her playful personality! She seeks out other easygoing cats for company, but is still a bit wary of us humans. She does like chin scratches and Churu treats if she is approached slowly. If she's "not feelin' it" - she will gallop across the room with her tail held high. She has made much progress in the time she's been with her foster family, we know her special person/people will see her continue to blossom! Story
Jax is about 3 or 4 years old. He loves to snuggle and play. He is a pretty great cat. My son has recently developed an allergy to him and we can no longer keep him. It breaks our heart to give him up. We would like to see him adopted instead of us having to surrender him. He needs a good loving home please.

Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Tibby was a stray, caught by my friend at a construction area next to her office. She's probably between 1 and 2 years old. This cat was very skittish, and although she has calmed down quite a bit she's still shy. Tibby is uncomfortable with being picked up or lap sitting, but enjoys social time (she'll snuggle against you) and play. Tibby doesn't sharpen her claws on furniture or jump on tables /counters. She's well behaved, but insecure. To build her confidence, I toss a dry kibble for her to chase, then call her to me to be pet, and repeat. She really seems to enjoy that. My friend has special needs cats and Tibby didn't get along with them. She might do better alongside a confident cat, idk. I'm fostering her, but can't keep her because of personal reasons / cat allergy. We'd rather not have Tibby to go to a home where she'll be declawed or put outside. She comes with a litter box, scratching post and pads, and various toys. Feel free to ask any other questions.
