Story
Rush is a funny, expressive, and cute boy. He will be 5 on Feb. 14 2025. We are, with heavy hearts, looking for a new home for him. We are unable to provide the best life for him. Rush was attacked by someone elses dog, and ever since then he has not been able to get along with our other dog. He loves people and is great with cats. He has the capability of being around other dogs only if they don't focus on him and can read his warning signals when he gets heightened. He has always liked small dogs and gets along well with a female german shepherd despite his fearfulness. Rush is adaptable and very go with the flow. He loves running around with a sock in his mouth, playing frisbee, or snoring up a storm. He doesn't like his paws touched but he is okay with being inspected everywhere else, and enjoys a good brushing. He is decent on a leash and loves going to petsmart or for a car ride. He is very food driven and will automatically sit for you.

Story
Amber and her siblings came into our rescue as small puppies at only 2 months of age from a kind woman in Rosarito Mexico who had found them abandoned. Amber is quiet and very shy at first but as you give her time to open up she becomes the silliest goofball you will ever meet. She would blossom in a home with another dog her size or if she could be adopted with her sister Beryl who is her typical Big Sis! Amber would prefer a quiet, stable environment with confident and loving humans. 2 of her sisters got adopted right at 3 months old, but her and her 3 sisters are still here waiting for their forever home!

Story
Onyx is a sweetheart who needs lots of patience and love. She was adopted before but she returned to us because she self-isolated and was very stressed out. She needs a home willing to give her lots of time and consistency so she can come out of her shell. She is very close with her sister Quartz and would benefit from being adopted with Quartz! She is crate trained and one in a million once she feels at home!

Quartz is bold and brave! She shrinks back from nothing and her loyalty is unmatched! She takes awhile to feel comfortable with new surroundings but once she loves you she is bonded for life! Please consider adopting her sister, Onyx with her as onyx is very lost without her.

Story
Hi my name is Thor. I am looking for my forever home. I was taken into the shelter when they found me wandering the streets of Auburn. After a few months nobody came to claim me. I was rescued from the shelter into a loving home and though they are good to me it's not enough space and being in an apartment I have nowhere to run and burn off my energy. I am looking for my new permanent home preferably with a yard. I get separation anxiety so I would prefer someone who is retired or works from home. I am great with kids and just want all the love and smother you with all the face kisses I can give. Though I do still have to learn personal space because I want to jump up and lick you and can potentially knock you over if you're small. I will cuddle and lay with you and take over your seat and your bed because I just want to be close to you all the time. When you leave I get a little scared and sometimes have an accident so please be patient with me. Want more info ask....

Dorothy’s story is one of incredible strength and resilience. After being saved from a euthanasia, she experienced love and safety for the first time. Just a day after her rescue, Dorothy gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies over 20 exhausting hours. Sadly, two of her little ones didn’t survive, but the remaining ten are thriving, just like their brave mama.  See other dogs or our website for puppy information.  Dorothy is also up for adoption too along with her 10 puppies.   If you’re ready to open your heart and reserve her or her puppies, please contact Barbara.  They will be available around 2/27/25 to take home.  There are 5 girls and 5 boys. If interested in adoption contact Barbara Rescue Director at NorCal Freedom for Paws at (916) 582-2771.  NCFFP have lots of dogs that are in need of homes our rescue meets at Pet food Express from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. the third Saturday of each month at 2531 Fair oaks boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95825. March 12, 2025, 6:30 pm
