Story
Dexter didn't tell me what happened to the tip of his left ear, but other than that he's just about perfect! He stands like a show dog! He's a five-year-old 39 pound reddish gold Carolina dog with hazel eyes. He's on the thin side and could use a few groceries. He sits for treats, gives his paw and then takes the treat gently. He's well mannered and does not jump on you. He was not interested in playing with toys. He stayed close. I get the feeling he would be a very loyal, devoted companion. He comes when you sit down for extra attention. He's friendly, outgoing, happy, sweet, frisky, and alert. He was very welcoming to workers that entered the laundry room. He wagged his tail at other dogs as he was passing them in the kennels. And he walked fine on a leash. He will need a yard to romp in but wants to be an inside dog spending quality time with his new family. He told me he's not particular about what he watches on television.

Story
Levi wants to be with his people, even if it's just touching his paw against your foot. Call him your shadow, or just a loving boy, this pup gives hugs, curls up next to you on the couch, and wants to play. Levi is certainly affectionate. Levi's about halfway through his first year, and halfway through his growth, and still learning the skills every good boy should know. He sleeps in his crate at night, and waits patiently for the workday to end, and in between enjoys several short walks to keep him occupied until he can go outside again. As he's improving his skills, Levi continues to work past his puppy enthusiasm. He's motivated to learn, but he's also taking excellent notes as other dogs show him the ropes. Levi will likely thrive in an active home, especially if everyone in his forever home is as eager to help him to become the best boy he can be. Levi is available for pre-adopt only at this time as he is not old enough to move to a forever home, but applications can still be completed. Applications for pre-adopt are processed in the order they are received. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
Meet Troy Bolton!  He is  Athletic, Handsome and sometimes even shy!  He is about 2 years old and only weighs 30 lbs!  He needs a home and a yard with a fence like most dogs. He is good with dogs.  Currently he is with an older 10 lb female and plays well with same aged 60 lb dog!  Good with 14 yr old female – no younger kids in the Foster Family.  He is good in a car - he is finally getting used to it!  He is potty trained and doesn't mark. He is learning how to walk on a leash and getting better!  Troy would be best with older kids since he is not used to lots of noises. He is  skittish and shy. He is scared of everything inside and outside the house – almost as if he was just kept in a crate all day.  He needs an experienced dog family. He will warm up to you eventually if you sit on the patio step and let him come to you.  He needs to learn and trust and he wil and is with his foster family.  Once he warms up to you, he will play ball. He plays nice ball with the other 60 lb dog in the Foster Family – did not witness any aggression or fighting over the ball. He is still working on “drop it” but he will “sit” and wait for you to throw the ball – then he will fetch it. It would be ideal for him to have another dog to learn from and play with!   He is a sweet boy who is worth having a loving family love him and build his selfl confidence! ##1816160##
