Hello my name is Junebug. I came to the SPCA because my owner could no longer care for me. I love being the center of attention! Because of this, I would prefer to live in a house without any other cats. I am very affectionate and would love to cuddle in your lap and purr. Guess what? I would love to go home with you! Story
Ivy is a stunning long-haired cow kitty with gorgeous green eyes. She’s quite the ‘looker’ and she’s got a great personality to match! Super social, Ivy loves people and you can expect some sweet head bumps and gentle leg rubs on a regular basis. She also likes a good head and back rub. Wanting to be close, Ivy will cozy up next to you on the couch and in bed for some love and then she’s off to find her next cozy spot:) She also makes biscuits, the sign of a very happy cat. At 11 years old, Ivy is content to lay by a sunlit window or do some bird watching from her favorite perch. She has her playful moments and really loves her treat ball! Ivy’s foster dad says she’s a real sweetheart! She transitioned nicely to his home and is great around his other cats. So if you have a cat that wants a friend, Ivy could be a good match. We don’t know how she is around dogs. But we do think she’d be fine with older kids because she’s so people oriented. Ivy’s a big girl weighing in at 13 pounds which just means there’s more of her to love. So are you ready to meet Ivy and fall hard? Please fill out an adoption application, the first step in our adoption process. Ivy is being fostered in Marina. All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, and have had a complete blood panel done.

Story
Look at that sweet face of innocence. At 14 years old, Sylvia did not expect to outlive the only companion she ever knew. But this 9-pound girl is resilient and she transitioned well to her wonderful foster home. She’s really an incredibly sweet cat who loves everyone she meets. Affectionate and loving, Sylvia will purr with delight when she’s near you. In fact, she’ll want to be so close to you that she’ll climb on your chest and nuzzle your neck. How cute is that?! She adores being pet and enjoys sleeping with her people…a great little bed warmer. Still energetic, Sylvia loves to play and she can’t resist a wand toy to get her moving. But truly, she’ll be happy to do anything with you and she’ll be your faithful companion. Having lived her whole life as the only cat, we feel that Sylvia would be happiest being your only feline. However, she could be fine with a cat friendly mellow dog. And given her social and gentle nature, we do think Sylvia would be good with older kids that can respect her boundaries. Sylvia was recently diagnosed with feline asthma. It doesn’t seem to slow her down much and is easily controlled with meds. Plus Golden Oldies will pay for her asthma medicine for life. So if you feel like Sylvia can be the one for you, a staff person will speak to you first and answer any questions you have before you meet her in person. Please fill out an adoption questionnaire, to get the adoption process started. Sylvia is being fostered in Monterey. All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, and have had a complete blood panel done.

Story
Our beautiful Poppy is a total sweetheart and social butterfly. She’ll greet you at the door when you come home and she’ll always want to be where you are. And when you have friends or family over, she’ll be right there…looking for some pets and may even adorn a lap or two. Poppy is such a happy and confident girl. She has the best purr motor and it doesn’t take much to activate it! When you talk sweetly to Poppy, she will happily chirp right back at you. And she would love nothing more than to sleep on your bed, purring you to sleep:) Almost 8 years young, Poppy is still pretty playful. She loves wand toys and that’s just another way for her to engage with her humans. Her other pastimes include bird watching, chasing sun puddles, lounging on a cat tree, enjoying belly rubs, and keeping you company. Since 12-pound Poppy is such an outgoing yet chill cat who doesn’t react to loud noises or sudden movements, we think Poppy might be fine with older kids. But we do think Poppy would be happiest being your only pet. Poppy will be a wonderful addition to almost any home, bringing you so much joy. If you’d like to meet her, please fill out an adoption questionnaire, the first step in the adoption process. Poppy is being fostered in Carmel Valley, CA.
