Story
Meet Beautiful Dot, Dot was rescued in the middle of July during a heat wave with her mom and brother Saddle without any resources to food or water. We knew time was against them and the little family was safely brought into their foster home. She was very malnourished and did great with her recovery. Dot is very loving and really enjoys to cuddle and play often with her brother and foster friends, she’s also good with cat friendly dogs. Dot would do best in a home without small children because they scare her. She really appreciates lounging around in a calmer environment. Dot loves cat tunnels and toys with feathers.

Story
Meet Myna! Myna is an handsome fella with a great personality. He and his four siblings were born to a community cat in Morada. Their mother took up residence in the yard of a home owner and suddenly left her kittens behind. Thankfully they were just about able to ear wet did at that time. The homeowner brought the kittens indoors and raised them with love. Myna was initially thought to be a girl and we never cha fed his name. He’s an adorable little guy and loves running about playing with his three remaining adoptable siblings, Lark (F), Starling (F) and Cormac (M). If you think Myna would be a perfect fit for your family and you can provide him with an indoor only life, please submit an application today at www.secondchancekitty.org. All Second Chance Kitty cats are free-fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Studies have proven cats live longer, healthier lives and on average require less financial burdens at veterinary offices when they are kept indoor only. There are so many predators out there, both human and animal and it is sadly unsafe to let them roam unattended. All of our babes come altered, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies (if age appropriate), FeLV/FIV negative unless stated otherwise , dewormed, flea treated, litter box trained and full of love. Our adoption fees are a minimum $150 donation. Anything beyond $150 helps rescue another babe. Adoption isn't an impulsive decision, it must be thought out carefully. Owning a cat is a 15 to 20+ year commitment. Can we afford a cat? If we're renting do they allow pets here? Is there a pet deposit? Can we afford the pet deposit? What if we get sick, what if the kitty becomes ill and has to see a veterinarian? Kitty requires routine check-ups, annual vaccines, quality food, litter and toys, can we afford this? These are all questions a responsible pet owner must ask themselves. If you can make this type of commitment please take a moment and visit our website at www.secondchancekitty.org to submit an application. Second Chance Kitty is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting cats, kittens and an occasional dog, escape a life of abandonment, abuse and neglect.

Story
This beauty is Arwen! Arwen was unfixed living in a dangerous place in Stockton. We were conducting some TNR in the area and Arwen was trapped and taken to a community cat spay and neuter program where she was spayed and vaccinated. Upon recovery it became abundantly clear, she was not the slightest bit feral. Due to her going through the community program, her ear was tipped. Now that Arwen is safe in foster care, spayed she is really blossoming. She’s an extremely sweet kitty who loves hanging and lounging in your lap, you’ll even find her at times giving you lots of kisses. she’s a very unique kitty with a different kind of personality. One of her favorite things to do when she’s not playing is napping by a sunny window in her tall cat tree. The unique part about Arwen is she dislikes being pet when it’s not on her terms. She will seek her foster mom out and come snuggle in her lap often and only at that time will she allow you to pet her, she will not tolerate being pet unless only in your lap. She’s very set in her ways and will become upset if pestered too much so a fun way to interact is doing what she loves and play with a long handled toy, she really enjoys that. Arwen is very smart and adventurous, the great part is with her being independent she’s very low maintenance and great to have as a companion who’s fun to watch. She would not do well with very small children. She does great with well behaved dogs and loves playing with her foster kitty friends. If you think you’d be a good fit for Arwen, please submit an application today! All Second Chance Kitty cats are free fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Story
Meet Dusty! Dusty is very sweet and food driven. He loves wet food and dry and will chatter your ear off until you open the can and place in his dish. He’s so anxious that he’ll try to bump your hand out of the way cause he wants it so much. Dusty gives light love bites and demands a clean litter box and likes the scoopable or crystal type of litter. We think he’d make a great companion and is a top notch listener. Dusty gets on very well with most cats and is like a big brother to the younger ones. Dusty was part of a TNR project we did in north Stockton. When the cats had come back from the spay and neuter clinic Dusty was very talkative and we started talking to him and he would answer back, It became clear he wasn’t feral at all like the others. He instantly warmed up to the idea of indoor life and has completely given up on the street life. If Dusty sounds like a good fit for your family and you can provide him with the indoor only life he deserves, please submit an application at www.secondchancekitty.org All Second Chance Kitty cats are free fed a quality dry food with low or no grain and are STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Story
Meet Magnum! Magnum is a total sweetheart who’s lived a rough life on the streets until he was rescued and now he absolutely loves being loved on and loving the life of a house cat. When we received Magnum into rescue he was a hot mess. He was immediately treated for ear mites, fleas and open wounds around his neck and back. Magnum has a severe flea allergy that had rendered his back and neck bald. The itching from the fleas and mites was so intense that he had carved himself open around his neck with his nails trying to stop the itching. It wasn’t healed for several months and he had to wear a cone to keep from reinjuring himself. When he went for his neutering at UC Davis, it was discovered that he had a broken tooth that was causing him discomfort. A time later, we were able to have his dental surgery completed. It was discovered there were actually two teeth that required extraction, and the surgery was successful with no further incident. Magnum is FIV positive, which means his immune system is compromised but other than that is a healthy boy and can live a normal healthy long life. Magnum absolutely loves being brushed and will lean right into it. Magnum is great with people, but not so great with dominant male cats. He is good with kittens and small dogs. Sometimes when he isn’t happy about something he will hiss, but it it’s just to show his dissatisfaction with the situation. He has never intentionally scratched or acted aggressively towards anyone. It’s just his way of telling you he’s not happy. He is not your typical “cute kitty”, he’s rugged from his years on the streets and he’s got these eyes that are easy to fall in love with. Magnum would be a lovely addition to the right home! If you think you can be everything Magnum needs to live a happy safe, indoor only life, please submit an online application at www.secondchancekitty.org.
