***Dove (along with Chipmunk, Lucie, and Pluto) can be seen and met at Paws Awhile Cat Café in Perry by making a reservation on their website. *** Spring 2024, Paws had its own "flock of birds" that got their names because mama Dove likes to chirp. This family was taken in as strays by a lady to give mama a safe place to raise her kittens. The babies have all long since spread their wings and found their furever home, however Dove still finds herself waiting. We aren't sure how many litters of kittens she has had in her past, but Dove has done her motherly duties for the last time. She is now looking for a home where she gets to be the one taken care of. Dove is as beautiful as she is sweet with her ticked tabby coat. She is a renowned singer of songs with her purrs and chirps that have smitten the entire volunteer staff at Paws. She has been bunking up with 3 other cats at the rescue and took minimal time to integrate. This girl will greet you at the door with her purrs and chirps when you enter the room. She loves to get pet, but loves to play equally as much. Dove likes stick toys best as they allow interaction. She gets bored of the little ball that goes in circles in the track. She also likes to sunbath on the cat towers. Our guess is she would love a window overlooking trees or the garden where she could watch the birds. When dog tested, she arched up & hissed, but made no move to go near or run from the dog. If the resident dog was indifferent to her, they would likely be able to coexist. Lily is such a sweet girl. She was found along with her kittens and a kind soul took them all in. Her kittens all found their furever homes, and now its time for Mama Lily. Lily is a master biscuit maker. She is so happy to have attention and love that she purrs and kneads as long as you'll let her. She can be very vocal if she thinks she needs help getting your attention. She also enjoys scratching posts and comfy beds, chairs, blankets, or laps. Lily is very playful. Some of the cats she is bunking up with at the rescue get kinda annoyed with her. She jumps on them, trying to get em to play but they aren't always interested. She would love a playful, patient housemate in her furever home or to be the only cat. A person that is going to spend lots of time with her. Sweet Lou Lou was part of our Grinchmas litter that came in in December 2023. However, he found himself being returned due to a life change for his owners and is now searching for his true furever home. Lou Lou Who is a total cuddle bug. He's more than happy to lay in your lap as long as you're willing to sit. He has a great purr that he releases shortly after you start petting him. If you try to stop petting him before he's ready, he will reach out with his paws to try to snag you and pull you back into your duty. He doesn't mind being picked up and carried around either. He has a beautiful black and white coat. My personal favorite is the smudge of black under his nose. Sooooo stinkin cute!! Lou Lou was best friends with a small dog in his past home. He should have no problem joining a house with other dogs so long as they are respectful. This solar litter came from a community colony at a volunteers family home in South Carolina. This gorgeous black beauty is Earth. Earth is a sweet girl that has gone to foster with Mars. It takes her some time to trust people, but once she gets to know you, she won’t want to leave your side. She's become quite a cuddle bug. She likes to sleep in bed with you. She's picky about her 4 legged friends. She keeps her distance when meeting other pets. After a week or two, she becomes more confident and starts playing. She loves lying on the rug, gazing out toward the yard, watching the ducks that come to the back door, or stretching out on the couch. She absolutely loves treats!
