Story

Minnie is a maybe 1 year old. She was dumped at a feral community we have been feeding for many years. She was pregnant at the time and we believe that’s the reason she was dumped. So, after she had her kittens we made the decision to bring her and her 3 babies to get them all fixed and shots. However we could only get her as her babies were weaned and we feel that a couple ladies from the nearby medical office took them. So, we brought her home, immediately called our vet to get her spayed and all her shots. We already had a 9 year old neutered male cat that we rescued as a baby. He was NOT happy with her being in our house. She’s been here about 8 weeks, uses cat doors, go’s in/out as she pleases, completely recovered from spaying surgery, no issues. Is A very loving cat, very happy cat towards everyone. She has tried very hard to be friends with Mickey but he is not having it, and has retreated from us because of her, so sadly we must rehome her. She deserves a loving home.

Oreo was born outside to a mom that was a stray. The good thing was his mom picked a great home to have her babies ~ the lady just loved on them and provided a safe, warm place for them. He is more of a watcher and love so see the kittens play. His favorite place to be in high on a cat tree that has a window overlooking the dog play yard. Oreo would love to have a big window to watch birds and squirrels. He is a big, handsome boy and just wants to be loved on his terms. Martini is such a cute little girl. She has to get to know you before "love" is shared. Martini loves to play and has a great time with her shelter friends and is always up for treats. The volunteers seeing her just watching what is going on as she checks out if she wants to participate. She enjoys the bigger cats and you can see her running down the halls at the shelter. Story

Jimmy's mom was a stray that had her little family outside. A sweet lady found them and provided help and once Jimmy was old enough he came to the shelter to find his forever home. He has been very shy from the start but has made many new friends with the other cats. Jimmy hangs out on what we call the "shy tree" over looking the dog play yard, so plenty to watch. Volunteers are able to pet him and give him love if they can find him in the "right location" ~ not able to run; plus we have to go slow with him. He seems to enjoy being petted and hopefully someone will give him the time he needs to want to be petted all the time. Jimmy loves treats and it's so fun when we see him coming around a corner to see what is happening in the main area. Katie is a beautiful little girl that has a shy side. She is cautious in the beginning until she trusts. She is a sweet angel and super loving when she was in a foster home. Katie was adopted and brought back due to no fault of her own ~ when she came back she was scared so we are not sure if something scared her at her home and she hasn't gotten over it. She comes around to see what the volunteers are doing and is always up for treats and canned food.
