Story
My husband and I came across Percy almost three years ago when she would come into our back yard. We started to feed her and Percy has always seen us a reliable source for shelter and food while living outdoors. We knew she probably spent most of her life outdoors and wanted to respect her space. In March of 2023 she had a kitten and felt safe enough to have her kitten by our home and we took them both in. She has responded well to patience, space, and love as she adjusted to our home. We have three other kitties whom she gets along with. Percy is still working on trusting people and would do better adjusting to a new home than in a shelter. She is almost 3 years old and has parts of her that is self-reliant, a survivor, playful, guarded, cautious, and snuggly. Because my husband and I are military, we can only have two kitties knowing we travel a lot. We hope to find a new family that will provide her with love, patience while she adjusts, playtime, treats, and consistency.

Story
Percy came to our backyard almost four years ago because we provided a reliable space for food and shelter. We are military and have been fortunate enough to rescue and foster kitties! In March of 2023 Percy had a kitten which left her more comfortable moving indoors. We have three other rescue kitties, but unfortunately, the females will bully Percy causing her to feel less comfortable and to urinate on our guest bed. To clarify, these incidents do not happen all the time. Percy would be happier in a home where she does not have to share her resources and environment with so many other kitties. Percy can adjust well to other pets, especially male cats. Ideally, we would love for her to be adopted with our male cat (Welsey) because they get along very well. Percy is self-reliant, a survivor, playful, can be cautious, and snuggly. We hope to find a family that will provide her with love, patience, playtime, treats, and consistency.

Story
Torte was a hardworking momma cat to four kittens! She raised them on the streets and helped keep them safe. She still loves her babies, but they've long since been adopted and now it's her turn to be pampered. She does take some time to get used to people, but once she does, she is very loving and affectionate. She is extremely mellow so she would do great with a home that just wants a sweet cat to cuddle or for the people that want a very low maintenance pet to just simply exist and watch the house while you're away.Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Story
Verde is an adorable little ball of fluff with a BIG personality. She hasn't quite warmed up to the staff just yet and will definitely let you know when you invade her personal space. That being said, as a kitten, she will quickly adapt to new environments and we are very sure that she will be a loving kitten soon! She is currently in a foster home to work on her social skills and definitely seems to do well with another cat in the home to help build her confidence and teach her how to be affectionate. She also is warming up to low energy dogs as well.Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.
