Spud is the laid-back and sweet brother of Spike, with a coat of soft, light brown fur and gentle, subtle tabby stripes. While Spike is always ready for adventure, Spud is the calm, observant one, preferring to take his time and enjoy the moment. He’s content to watch his brother race around and explore, but when he’s ready, he’ll join in the fun with his own quiet charm. Spud’s big, bright eyes and soft purr make him a lovable companion, and he’s always happiest when snuggling with Spike or resting beside him after a long day of play. Together, the two brothers are inseparable, and Spud’s easygoing nature balances Spike’s energetic spirit perfectly.
Spud is currently in the Kitten Room at Topeka Cat Café! Topeka Cat Café is not a shelter but a foster home for the non-profit rescue Team Kitten. Adopting a cat from the café follows a unique process, so please visit topekacatcafe.com/adoptacat to learn more.
Once you're familiar with the process, you can book a visit to meet Spud and and the other cats at topekacatcafe.com. You're welcome to apply for adoption before visiting, but applications will only be considered for those who schedule a visit at the café.

Team Kitten is a volunteer-run, foster-based kitten rescue in Topeka, Kansas. All of our kittens and cats are spay/neutered, microchipped , dewormed, treated with flea/tick preventative, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations before adoption. Adoption fee also includes a Royal Canin adoption kit and a free month supply of Royal Canin nutrition.
Our adoption fees range from:
$75 for juveniles and adults
$100 for most kittens
$150 for most pairs of kittens (does not include high profile kittens)
$150 for high profile (color point and long-haired female kittens)
