Story
Meet Ivy!Ivy is a timid, quiet, mellow girl who enjoys the simple things in life; gentle attention, people watching, and curling up in cozy beds. Ivy was brought back to KVHS due to no fault of her own; she has previously lived with other kitties and done ok with them. Ivy is also on a prescription C/D diet, this helps prevent crystals from forming in her urine which could lead to blockages. This is a vet prescribed diet! Due to her fearful behaviors, Ivy would love a home with children over the age of 12.Interested in meeting Ivy? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Hey there, Mount Pretty speaking!Three things to know about me:- In my past life, I'm a southern gentleman.- I love talking and sharing my past stories! (Some may even call me chatty)- I'm a lover, not a fighter.I enjoy people watching, relaxing walks in the evening, and cuddling on the couch! I love nothing more than being with people. It's unknown how I will do with other animals, but the staff thinks I'd do fine with other kitties! I am on a special diet, and will need to continue this! Due to this, I'll need someone who has a good relationship with their vet! Interested in meeting me? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Yeehaw! This gentleman may not speak with an accent, but he sure will rope his way into your heart! He's mellow, quiet, and enjoys attention. Being picked up is somewhat ok, he doesn't totally understand what's happening. Yeehaw might do well with other animals, although he hasn't been around them here at KVHS; with the proper introductions we think he'll do ok!Yeehaw is also on a prescription diet, he will need someone with a good relationship with their vet due to having urinary tract difficulties. The diet is called C/D, and it helps prevent crystals from forming in his urine, which could lead to blockages.Ready to bring a little bit of southern charm into your life? Swing on down to meet Yeehaw!

Story
Meet Marble!Don't let his resting grump face fool you; he's actually a pretty mellow guy! He enjoys the simple things in life, from food to watching out his window. He enjoys gentle attention and slow movements; Marble was originally a stray so we don't know if he has previously been around other animals. Fast and loud noises do scare him, so a home without young children would be best!Interested in this handsome floof? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Snowdrift! Here, he has been described as a "Sour patch kid" sometimes sweet, sometimes sour. Truth is, Snow-boy here doesn't really know what he wants. he enjoys cheek scratches, but not for too long. He LOVES wet food, and that has been how we are working on building a positive association with humans! His ideal home would be someone paitent while he works out the rules and quirks of a house cat, giving him plenty of time to settle into a new routine! While here in the shelter, Snowdrift has been overgrooming due to stress. He's currently on anxiety medication that he will be weaned off through your vet when you adopt. He's also on a prescription diet to help with his skin. It's called Z/D! This is also a food you will need to get through your vet! Snowdrift is FIV+, this is feline immune virus. It's a disease that is purely between cats, other animals (Or humans) cannot get it. This means he MUST remain an indoor only cat to make sure he doesn't spread it. We do not know how Snowdrift is with other cats. He must be an only cat or with other FIV+ cats!Interested in Snowdrift? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Laurel! This girl has the spice of life in her! She loves to be adventurous, loves to explore, and does enjoy soaking up attention from people! Sometimes she can get overstimulated with attention and will swat to tell you she's had enough. Due to this, we recommend a home with children over the age of 5yrs, or respectful children who will allow her to have those boundaries! Laurel has not been a fan of other kitties here at KVHS, so we think a home without them would be best! Having been a stray, we do not know how she does with dogs. Slow and proper introductions with them is a must!Interested in this pretty kitty? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!
