Story
Oscar was a stray at a neighbor's yard and at risk because we live in a rural area. He didn't have a collar or microchip. I subsequently got him neutered and microchiped, and he received a complete series of shots. The doctor said he was one year old and very healthy. He weighs 10.6 pounds. Oscar is very sweet, affectionate, playful, and gentle. He is also quite beautiful with black glossy fur and white markings. He loves unteracting with us and meeting new people who come to our house. The reason he is not compatible with my husband and me is because as a young cat he can be very active and at 90 and 69 years old respectively, we are not able to provide him with the stimulation he needs. Also, he likes to get up on counters and shelves where we have various collections and as a result, we've had to move things off. A home where there are not a lot of knicknacks or where the knicknacks can be pushed back would, therefore, be better.

Story
Rodger is FIV+. He can be around other cat-friendly cats as FIV is not as contagious as they once thought. In fact, he lives with several other cats.Rodger was born on 5/1/19 and is a brown tabby from Roswell. His favorite past-times are looking out windows, sitting on window sills, exploring his foster home, and playing. He's a teen boy kitty, so he has a good amount of energy and likes to play with ping pong balls, pole toys, soft toys, and kick toys. He can be picked up (properly of course). He likes to be brushed and has learned to use a cardboard scratcher, not counter jump (NO and finger snap gets him down), and nap on my bed.Because Rodger is FIV+, he needs to be an indoor kitty. He eats both dry and wet food (not mixed together), and has a good appetite. A high-quality food will keep his coat in good condition.Though he should start in a “safe room”, Rodger does well with other cats. When hissed at, he walks away. He likes to box and wrestle with other kitties. He wanders around with a fast pace saying “ggrrrrrr” (so cute!) and sits contentedly on his side between rounds of exploring. He would do best with another kitty of similar age and/or a human who enjoys playing with him.Rodger is current on all shots, neutered and micro-chipped.Rodger’s approximate DOB: 5/1/19 ##1458512##

Story
Minnie and her older brother, Mickey, were rescued from the Roswell shelter on their last day, where they shared a cage at the Roswell shelter.  They were adopted together and then returned when their owner went into assisted living.  They were not terribly bonded and so are available separately. Minnie really enjoys playing with toys on a stick and toys she can chew and bat around.  Minnie is all black except for a white spot on her chest and on her abdomen.  Minnie is a sweet cat who likes to check in with her person/people several times a day and early in the morning.  She is not a lap cat but LOVES attention and head rubs and scratches.  She is very personable!   She would do better in a home with another cat to play with, as she is starting to socialize with the other cats in her current foster home and likes company.  She would not do well in a home with very young children or a very dominant cat, as she tends to be a bit cautious.  Minnie currently lives in a home with other cats and cat friendly dogs.  She will make a wonderful companion for someone and knows her name.  With the proper introduction, she should do well in your home. ##1471926##

Story
Delilah is available for adoption and she qualifies for our Furever Foster Program.  We pay for all the vet care for cats in our Furever Foster Program.   For more information on our Furever Foster program click here Foster a Cat - (junesseniorcatrescue.org) Delilah lost her owner last year and then went to stay with a friend of her owner until the friend could no longer care for Delilah.  That’s when she came to us. Delilah has stunning green eyes and fabulous whiskers. She is very affectionate and she loves her person very much.  She knows her name and will follow you around the house.   However, she has been allowed to eat treats and dry food her whole life and because of this she has gained a lot of weight.  She is over 19 lbs and needs to lose some weight.  We are hoping to find a home for Delilah where someone will be dedicated to helping her lose some weight.  She has already been to the vet and she is healthy other than her excess weight.  She would make a great companion for someone needing a friend. Delilah would do best in a home as the only cat.  She doesn’t seem to mind the dogs in her foster home but she does not care for cats.  She is up to date on her shots, spayed, and microchipped.  If you join our Furever Foster Program, we will cover all of Delilah’s vet bills.  Delilah is very sweet and deserves to live a life without the excess weight.  Are you that person who can help Delilah? DOB: 11 years old DSH All gray 19 lbs Spayed female UTD on shots Microchipped – she will be chipped before she goes to her new home ##2096291##
