Story
It's your beloved shelter hallway greeter, Juanita, here! I'm taking a quick break from my vital duties to grab a nibble and to share why I'd love to be promoted from shelter resident to the queen of your heart.I have been holding down the fort at the SPCA for a year and a half now, and I've loved every minute of spreading joy and cheer to all who pass through these shelter doors. My goal has always been to ensure every person feels genuinely welcomed, and if they depart with a smile, I deem that the ultimate success. But ultimately, there is a little voice inside that keeps whispering, "You may not have been chosen today, Juanita, but tomorrow may be different." So I continue to pour my heart into being the best version of me, hoping that one day fate will bring me face to face with my forever human. If you are that paws-atively amazing person I've been searching for, please contact the SPCA or stop in to apply for me. You can bet you'll see me approaching you as soon as you walk into the kitty side of the shelter. I cannot wait to meet you, my best friend!*Juanita loves laid back cats and people of all ages! She can be dog-tested upon request.Email: spcaallegany@gmail.comWebsite: www.spcaallegany.orgPhone: (585) 593 - 2200 Ex. 2

Story
I'm Sprite, and after months of waiting at the shelter, I am running out of hope that I will ever find my soulmate. I arrived as a cruelty case, and despite being safe and receiving lots of TLC from my caretakers, I've had the hardest time finding confidence in myself here. All of the activity and new faces surrounding me make me want to hide away.I'm searching for someone who will provide me with familiarity, security, and comfort. Someone who will be kind and patient with me as I come out of my shell. Because even though I'm still learning to trust and feel a bit skittish, the truth is that there is nothing I long for more than a best friend.Could you be the angel of a person I've been searching for? Please contact the shelter and/or submit an application to apply for me. I cannot to start living my best life with you by my side.Sprite is a boy who would prefer to live in a quieter home. Story
My name is Willis! I guess I should start with a little information about myself.....I came into the shelter because my beloved owner became sick and could no longer care for me. When I came in I was very shy and didn't really want any human interaction. With time, I have adjusted and have started to come out of my shell a bit. I once was a cat that barely liked to be touched, but now I find myself loving when humans enter my room to visit me and I LOVE to be pet. I also LOVE to play with wand toys and feather toys! I will always be a little shy, but overall I have come a long way from when I first arrived at the shelter. Due to my shy demeanor, a quiet/relaxed home would be the best fit for me. I need a home where I can be myself...the shy but sweet guy that I am. I would do fine with older kids (8+) . I also LOVE other cats, it is recommended that I am placed in a home that already has a cat resident, or that I am adopted with another cat as cats help me to come out of my shell! I would do best in a home without dogs. If you are interested in giving me a forever home, please stop by the shelter any day to meet me! Adoption applications are located here at the shelter, online, or you can email us to request one!Email: spcaallegany@gmail.comWebsite: www.spcaallegany.orgPhone: 585-593-2200 EX 2

Story
I'm Mateo, and I cannot sugar-coat how sad I am being without a home after over a year of waiting. I was rescued as a stray when I was young, and because I haven't received any interest in all of this time, I've grown up at the shelter. How I wish that I could finally find a wonderful family to love and devote myself to.Could you be the person I've been longing for my entire life? Please contact the SPCA and/or submit an application via email or in person if you would like to apply for me. It would bring me so many happy tears to become a beloved member of your family.Mateo loves people and enjoys the company of cats. He would do best in a quieter home where he can fully relax and embrace being loved on. Mateo requires a home without dogs.
