Story
**Working cats seek safe outdoor homes!** We ALWAYS have cats available that are unable to be adopted into traditional homes because they are choosy about human companionship and prefer to live their lives on their own terms. They are excellent mousers and would be eternally grateful to find homes where they can roam free! The common term is "barn cats," but we are always open to also working with unconventional situations such as feed stores, community gardens, single-family homes, etc.. Most of our working cats are feral and have been rescued from unsafe outdoor environments (such as construction zones or places where people are threatening to poison them) and cannot return to where we trapped them. Instead, they find themselves here with us, waiting desperately for a second chance to live happy and free. Working cats have no adoption fees, and we provide free of cost all of the supplies that you'll need to help them acclimate to their new homes, as well as support, advice, and encouragement throughout the entire process. We always love to stay in touch with our adopters and sometimes do so for the cats' whole life spans! We promise that you will be thrilled with your decision to adopt a working/barn cat (or cats!)--there is truly nothing like the feeling of knowing that you have literally given a cat a second chance at happiness. All of our cats are healthy and fully vetted prior to adoption including spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Thank you for considering them!

Seline is one of our special cases.  He's a sweet boy who seems to have seasonal allergies.  We're treating him, so he's much more comfortable, but the medication makes him pretty calm.  He loves to be brushed and help reaching all of those nooks and crannies he can't reach.  He'd be great in a calm house with a beautiful view, he does love watching the birds fly past!   ##1077524##

Story
My markings are some of the most unique!  The thumb print on my nose, it is eye catching!  My favorite place is up high in my perch, so I can watch what is going on in my room.  I do like a laser pointer and a good stretch on the scrathing post!  I'm pretty low maintenece and may take a little bit to come out of my shell, but brushings and treats do work wonders!  I get along well with Seline and we'd make great pets for someone looking for some low key kitties. ##1105165##

Story
Faith has been through quite a lot of change in her young life! She craves stability and love, and she truly deserves that and more. Will you please share her story and help us to help her? Faith was found by another rescue group several years ago struggling to survive outdoors with two tiny kittens. They were brought into foster care, and her kittens were adopted, leaving her all alone. She was then sadly bounced around to several different foster homes for a variety of reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with her. As if that wasn't tragic enough, her last stop was with a person who abused and neglected her, including locking her in a crawl space with no food, water, or litter box. When the other rescue group was made aware of her plight they had no open space in their foster system but were desperate to get her to safety, and that is how she made her way to Cat Crew. Faith has been with us for two years now, and, though she is safe and cared for, she has made it clear that she would prefer not to share her space with other cats, and she would love a quiet, low-key family. With all of the change and stress that she has been through, she is nervous about trusting new humans, but she is incredibly brave and resilient and is doing her best! She currently does not like to be petted but does love treats and loves to play, and she will engage with her foster mom through both of those activities. We are absolutely certain that in the right home, one with calm and patient owners, she will blossom into the wonderful girl that she is meant to be. You can see in her eyes that this is all she wants, and we are desperately hoping that there is a wonderful family who is willing to give her that chance! Bonding with a shy cat is like NOTHING else in the world. Faith's adoption fee is waived, and we will be here 24/7 to support whoever opens their hearts to give her a safe space. We would also be thrilled to find her a new foster home, if you are not sure if you want to adopt--we will pay all ongoing vet costs and give you all of the supplies that you need! We just desperately want to get her into a home where she can finally be herself again. Faith is about five years old and is healthy and fully vetted including spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. She has her whole life ahead of her...please help her to find her happiness again!

Story
Adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!* Leia is a VERY special girl in search of an equally special home! This lovely lady clocks in at 24 pounds, down three pounds from when we rescued her in June. She is about three times heavier than she should be and is in desperate need of a family that is committed to helping her slim down and become the healthiest kitty she can be! Leia came to Cat Crew from one of our vet partners. She is friendly, sweet, and affectionate and an all-around sweet and wonderful girl. She does not have any other medical issues aside from the severe obesity--other possible contributing factors such as diabetes or thyroid issues were ruled out, meaning that her obesity is only due to over-feeding. Thankfully that means it is also a pretty easy fix, as long as her family is willing to commit to healthy portions and a slow but steady calorie decrease. She is on a wet-food-only diet at her foster home and has already lost one pound, so she is off to a great start! She would LOVE to continue (and finish!) her weight-loss journey with her forever family, and she promises that she will love you unconditionally in return. Leia is about eight years old and, aside from her obesity, is healthy. She is fully vetted, including spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. We believe that she would be good with kids and would also adjust to other pets with slow, appropriate intros, though she would also be happy being the only pet in her home. She has her whole life ahead of her and deserves to get down to a healthy weight so that she can live it to the fullest!

Story
Rory is a sweet girl who was rescued from the street, after having a litter of kittens. She is estimated to be about 2 or 3 years old. Rory has been enjoying life on the inside. She loves playing with toys, bird watching from the window, and is a world class napper. She’s gentle, very friendly and affectionate. She loves to cuddle up next to a warm body, snuggle in, and sleep. Her favorite thing in the world is getting ear scratches. Scratch her by the ears, and she’ll be your best friend. She will make a wonderful addition to your family. Rory would do best in a home with no other cats. She is fully vetted, including spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative.
