Story
Hi! I'm Edgar! I'm an approximately 3 year old, male, Lynx Point Tabby/Siamese who weighs about 9 lbs. I was brought in by animal control on 01/03/2025 due to having sustained several injuries. I am currently receiving treatment for my injuries and am already starting to feel better! I am a very social guy who enjoys interacting with my humans. I have not yet met another cat or a dog and am not sure how to react to them. If you have another pet in the home, a slow introduction in the home setting is highly recommended for acclimation. My adoption fee is $30. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, and basic boosters. I am FELV negative but sadly I did test positive for FIV. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a viral infection that weakens my immune system over time. FIV targets and destroys white blood cells, which are crucial to fighting off common diseases and illnesses. Although FIV can significantly impact my health, I can still live a long and healthy life with the right care, such as regular vet visits, a nutritious diet, and protection from stress and other infections. FIV is not easily transmitted and cannot be transmitted to another cat by sharing food or water bowls, sharing litter boxes or playing. For more information on FIV, RAC staff is happy to answer any questions you may have. Since I am recovering from my leg injury, meet and greets will be scheduled by approved application only! Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and RAC staff will be in touch! All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 8, 2025, 6:58 pm
