Macie is a darling DSH brown with white tabby female born approximately 9/1/2020. I have been in my foster home for a very long time. I totally understand though. I was so feral that even my foster mom thought there was no hope for me to have a furrever home. But with so much patience and a safe place, I am learning how to not be so fearful. My friend, Ashy, has helped me so much, but there is still that tiny voice that tells me I can’t completely let go of all my fear. I have come along ways and now love to watch birds, play with toys, have my tummy rubbed, and I even get the zoomies. During the day I sleep, but early mornings and in the evenings is when I am most comfortable. With more time and a furrever home of my own, I am sure the days will become more fun-filled and less fearful. I can get along with other cats and probably dogs and kids too, but I may not be a lot of fun until I am less fearful. Do you have the patience to enjoy my company? He gets along with his siblings and is playful and cuddly with them. He is still very shy with humans, but he and his foster are building a relationship. Nickie is a darling Russian Blue mix female born approximately 10/11/2021. "I was pulled from a local shelter for "rescue only." They said I was so scared, no one would want me. But... from the first day in my foster home, I met Misti, and my whole world got better. She made me feel safe and showed me that it isn't as scary being around people as I thought it was. We became friends really fast and I watched her and learned how to be a cat. No longer scared. My foster mom gives me treats in her lap and pets me. I have slowly learned to trust people - especially if you have food! Just show me the bowl and I know what it is. I have bonded so much with Misti, so we want to stay together. We will entertain you with playing, or just enjoy cuddling on the couch. We share our foster home with many cats, but would really love our own fur-ever home. James is a handsome DSH orange tabby male born approximately 3/13/2021. James was originally rescued by NBCR along with his mother and his 6 other siblings. He and his brother, Jacob, were then adopted into a loving home. Sadly, through no fault of their own, they were recently returned to us in April. They have since been in a foster home receiving much needed TLC and some time to adjust to the change in their lives. They are growing more comfortable with every passing day and we are now ready to start looking for a new, truly forever home for these sweet boys. According to their foster, they still seem quite bonded. James will carry on if he doesn't know where Jacob is after a time, but they do their own thing, too. They are getting more and more comfortable all the time and are just big loves! They both like people and attention, but they do still get scared easily. James isn't quite as brave as Jacob, so he isn't quite as comfortable out and about through the whole house. If it gets too much, he will go upstairs until things calm down. Really, James' needs are simple: a calm person and place to go to when scared, someone to sleep with at night, and canned food every day. That's his happy thing! With a voice that could rival a diva and a passion for grooming her human subjects, she's always ready to make her presence known. Food-motivated and full of energy, she's a whirlwind of playful antics and unexpected nips. Trainable? Maybe. Entertaining? Absolutely. Just be prepared for a little sass and the occasional love bite! Taylor enjoys watching the goings-on outside her foster room window. She also loves to snuggle up close at nap time.
