Story
Hello, my name is Randall! I was a stray found on Volco Rd. and noone came to get me. I have become a favorite here at the shelter! I am a silly old man with a bunch of energy! I love to play outside and sunbath, I also like to lay in my bed and relax while i'm inside, sometimes I even roll around in my bed and make dinosaur noises! I do like other animals but I just wouldn't like one too young because I am an old man and wouldn't want them to be too much for me.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Della came to PRBJ with her pups from an overcrowded shelter in Georgia. She is a friendly and playful dog who walks well on the leash.  She is crate and potty trained and does like to chase cats, so she will need a home without felines. Della is heartworm positive.Della has a beautiful merle patterned coat and warm eyes. At age 4, she is a perfect age...passed the puppy zoomies, but young enough for many years of companionship with her new family! Catahoulas are good family pets and are happy romping outside and lounging on the couch with their humans:) They make good alert dogs and can be protective of their home and family.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2025, 10:29 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Jenson was adopted in Dec and his is new family named him Remy. Then he was returned to PRBJ in March through no fault of his own. Here is what his previous family had to say about him   Remy thrives on connection. He’ll make deep eye contact, greet you with full-body enthusiasm, and cuddle close when he’s calm. He’s eager to please and very attentive, always looking for cues from his people. Smart and responsive, he’s motivated by praise and dried liver treats.   Each morning starts with big stretches and playful energy before he settles into his crate while you're away. He loves to run and needs space to burn off energy. Fetch with the Chuckit! ball is his favorite game, and he’s starting to learn the “drop it” command.   Remy prefers to have his bed near his people—whether that’s in the living room during the day or by your bed at night. He doesn’t always need to be touching you, but he does love being close. He’ll do just fine with someone who prefers dogs off furniture—but if you’re open to it, he’ll happily snuggle on the couch with you too.   He gets along very well with other dogs and has shown friendly interest in cats. He sometimes forgets to read a cat’s signals, so a home with a confident cat (or a little guidance) would be ideal if you have one.   Remy is also wonderful with kids. Our three-year-old (as well as nieces and nephews) absolutely adores him—giving hugs, cuddles, and playing together. Remy has always been gentle, patient, and loving. If things get too rowdy, he'll just leave the room. He is quick to pick up toys in his mouth, but if you're nearby and catch it, hell never fight over it, and we'll swap it out for one of his toys (he likes soft and squeaky, not hard nylabones)   We’ve potty-trained him (no treats required!), and at six months old, he’s only had one accident in the last month. We’ve never punished him—he responds beautifully to encouragement and positive reinforcement. Also, he’s a sensitive soul: the one time I raised my voice, he looked at me with such big eyes, it nearly broke my heart.   Whoever adopts Remy—so long as you have the space and energy for a young, active dog—will have the best dog we’ve ever known.     New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We recommend the ENTIRE family attend puppy training classes. This ensures that all family member are using the same commands and techniques.     Please note a fenced yard is preferred for this baby to romp and safely play. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2025, 7:25 pm
