Story
Hi, I'm Ed. My previous owner dropped me off at Powers Drive Animal Hospital and they were kind enough to get me to Second Chance. I am a young, energetic, sweet boy. Did I say energetic? I love to go outside and play, or take walks. If you are looking for the adventurous type for hikes and outdoorsy fun, I'm your guy!  Also, no DNA tests have been done, so no one knows for sure what breed I am. I look like I might have Catahoula Leopard Dog in my mix and probably some bully. This means home ownership to adopt me is required! I have all had all of my shots, and am neutered. Also included in my adoption fee, is a registered microchip and a full set of medical records for you and my future vet! If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for a meet and greet. I'm looking forward to meeting you! If you're interested in adopting 2 dogs, my bestest friend, Georgie is also available for adoption at a reduced fee if you take us both! Only applicants who meet the following current requirements will be considered: - Homeownership, no renters - Fenced yard not required, but preferred - Applicant must be 25 years of age or older ##1581433##

Story
Maya is a sweet 7.5-year-old girl. She’s had a rough life — she was confiscated from her previous owner for cruelty. She was timid, underweight, missing most of her fur, and had sores all over. But then she was adopted and her life turned around. She gained a dog brother, and discovered how much fun it was to run, play, and cuddle. She slowly realized that nobody was going to hurt her. She even learned to greet strangers with a wagging tail, happily accepting pets. Unfortunately, Maya has shown aggression towards cats, which is a challenge since her current family runs a cat rescue. They love her very much and are heartbroken but need to keep everyone safe. Maya does get a bit anxious sometimes, especially when crated or with loud noises, but she just needs reassurance. She also has anxiety meds she can take as-needed. Maya is seeking a home without cats where she can feel loved and safe. She enjoys chewing bones, sunbathing, and long naps. Email ashrh03@gmail.com with questions!

Story
Sadie was surrendered by her owner due to personal reasons that we will keep private. Sadie is a 5-month-old Catahoula Leopard mix. She is all around just a good dog. She is potty trained, good with dogs, and good with children. She will chase farm animals so she wouldn't do well on a farm. Sadie is a big girl, we are guessing around 55 pounds. She still needs to go to the vet to get vaccinations and to be spayed, which is scheduled. Sadie is still growing. Sadie does like to play with water but we haven't tested if she likes to swim. Sadie is playful and may not understand her size when it comes to playing with smaller dogs. So she might do best with a large size-only dog household.  ##2143688##

Story
We adopted Nugget and his sister when they were 6 weeks old (mother died during birth and puppies were surrendered). He is now 6 years old. As far as we know, both parents were Catahoula Leopard dogs. He is very energetic and needs lots of exercise. He is very protective and also very loving. He likes to cuddle. We are at a point where kids are very involved in sports and he probably does not get as much attention as he needs. We are also having difficulty as he is a reactive dog and we don't know how to handle him. He also has anxiety with storms, fireworks, etc that seems to be getting worse, not better, even with the help of medication. We are no longer the right fit and need to find someone who is better suited to take care of his needs. He is so special and would be a great dog for someone who knows how to train and handle all of his quirks.

Story
Bindi is a uniquely beautiful 6 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog. She is housebroken, has a mellow energy level and is calm and well behaved in the home - she is already trustworthy in the house and does not need a crate or kennel. While she does well meeting new people outside of the home, she is protective over her home and belongings when guests come into her home. The rescue will provide new training for an adopter at no cost to help her start off on the right foot at learning to allow guests to come into the home successfully, but she will need an experienced, committed adopter ready to work with her. Bindi is part of our rehoming program and her current family is rehoming her because she does not get along well with the other dog in her home. Bindi is not reactive when meeting new dogs out in public or on walks but again struggles with sharing her space and belongings with them. She would do best as the only dog in the home. We are recommending a home without small children for Bindi, older kids would be okay.  Adoption fee $150, Bindi is spayed and current on vaccines. Located in Orlando, FL. ##2008383##
