Story
Nico is a very handsome boy with beautiful eyes. He needs to be on a strict routine. He shouldn't be in a home with young kids. He would have to be the only pet. He is strong and stubborn. He needs someone who will be consistent with him. He isn't friendly to other animals. He is very loyal and protective to his person. He needs a home with a yard. He needs a home where it is strict and the person(s) are patient. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Inquire about setting up a meet and greet.       ##1501785##

Minerva is a 1-year-old Catahoula Leopard mix with a gentle and sweet nature. While she’s initially shy and nervous, she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. She loves people and is especially fond of slow, steady interactions, eagerly accepting pets once she’s gotten to know you. Minerva walks wonderfully on a leash and is looking for a patient, understanding owner to help her shed a bit of extra weight and lead a long, healthy life. With her kind spirit and a little time, she’ll become your loyal, loving companion. Story
Hello handsome! This 2 year old Catahoula is ready to find his forever home! Bronx is a gorgeous boy who needs adopters that will keep him active and happy. We`re looking for someone with some dog experience (if not breed experience) as he is not a dog for first-timers. He`ll need an adult only family; no little kids for this guy- but he promises to be your BFF. Bronx would love a home with another dog to play with and a secure fenced yard to run around freely in. He enjoys his walks and would really like someone active that maybe would take him jogging or on hikes. If you this this beautiful boy is the right fit for you, come by the VAO and ask to meet him very soon!

Story
This is Chloe. She's 4 years old and will be 5 on April 18th. She's spayed and UTD on shots, she had her 3 year rabies shot this past July. We adopted Chloe from another person who had gotten her for her daughters. When the daughters didn't take care of her like they had promised and the mom didn't have the time to, she came to live with us. However, we weren't made aware beforehand that she is not good with other female dogs. Every male dog She's come in contact with, including our own, she's done great with, but all three female dogs She's met, she's gotten into fights with, including our other female dog. We have tried everything we can think of to get the two of them to get along, but even when things seem like they'll go well and our other female tries to play with her, Chloe attacks her. She is absolutely the sweetest thing with all people. She adores all of our kids and loves sleeping next to them, you get butt wiggles and kisses when you get home.

Story
Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Star has been in foster care and boarding for a while, and she wants a forever home! Also, if you live out of state, we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee.

Story
Cookie is a very lovable dog. We found her in a railroad yard in the middle of winter. She is a very energetic who loves to run and play, very easy to train and responds well to commands.Shes spayed, up to date on shots and has a clean bill of health. We are looking to rehome her to a loving home where she has ample room to run. Preferably she would be the only dog. We have a older, larger dog that is much more docile and prefers his naps and can get agitated with her playfulness. We hate to have to rehome her but unfortunately we feel we are not the best fit for Cookie.

Story
Jingles is a sweet boy who wants so badly to feel safe. Right now, he’s overwhelmed by the shelter environment, trembling and seeking comfort from anyone who shows him kindness. He leans into people for security, pressing close and staying by your side. Though he tolerates handling, he’s too scared to take treats or explore on his own just yet. Beneath his fear, Jingles has the heart of a loving, loyal companion. With patience, reassurance, and a calm home, he has the potential to blossom into the playful, affectionate pup he’s meant to be. If you can offer Jingles the safety and understanding he craves, he’ll return it with a lifetime of devotion. Could you be the one to help him find his confidence? Meet Jingles at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10 am - 6 pm BEHAVIOR NOTES: 03/28/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Jingles was in his crate lying down with his ears pinned back. He did a big stretch and a stress yawn while I leashed him. He walked out very slowly and was so fearful on his walk that I needed to use lots of leash pressure and breaks. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimal – very fearful on leash . HANDLING : In the room, Jingles slowly put both his paws on me and began shaking and trembling excessively. He never stopped shaking and was trying to seek comfort but was so terrified. He kept stress panting and drooling and kept himself pinned into my body. I tried to get him off and he was so scared he pressed himself in the corner with me. He tolerated all the handling but he is so shut down he cannot do anything else. He did not take treats and was too scared to even move away from me. PLAY: Did not attempt TOYS: Did not attempt COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS: Exp. blue ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
