Story
Looking for a stunningly beautiful, funny, and friendly puppy? You’ve found the one! Aspen, a 3 month old, 20 lb Catahoula/Rottweiler/Pit mix (as per the according to the people who surrendered her), is the perfect amount of cautious and curious. She’ll entertain herself for hours with a good toy or bone, is very affectionate and cuddly with humans, loves playing with other dogs, is curious about the resident cat but not aggressive , is a good listener who easily redirects, and is super food motived . PLEASE NOTE: Aspen is looking for a home where someone is around during the day and *owners with previous strong breed training experience*. Little kids need to be able to handle puppy mouthiness.  She is microchipped, vaccinated, and her adoption will be finalized upon age-appropriate spay, which is included in her $700 adoption fee.  ##2256905##

Story
If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, Atlas is the guy for you. His unique looks and amazingly sweet and inquisitive personality are products of his rich breed mixture. Atlas (also known as "Mr. Steal Your Heart and Pillow") enjoys long walks, short car rides, exploring, cooling off in creeks, lounging around the house, playing tug, unstuffing plush toys, wrestling and playing the bitey face game with his doggy sibling, cuddling in bed, and anything else that allows him to spend time with his family. At almost 3 years old, he has outgrown most undesirable puppy behaviors, but is still an active boy who requires adequate exercise. He does well with children and other dogs. He has done well with cats! He likes to lead walks and can be overly eager to meet new dog friends, so some training in those areas is recommended. He also gets overwhelmed in busy settings and sometimes experiences stranger danger so it is advised to avoid crowded settings unless addressed by a trainer. He is overnight crate trained, but he becomes anxious when left in the crate for extended periods of time during the day so his ideal home would have a pet parent who is home for the greater part of the day. Atlas is learning how to pull carts. He is a very smart dog and seeks to please his owners. Atlas is house/potty trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/

Story
adoption donation : $699 weight  45 lbs  Age 7 months as of 1/15          Wyatt is a sweet and friendly boy who is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He was found all alone in a pasture in a rural part of Mississippi, when the Wags director spotted him and called out, Wyatt came running over, tail wagging.      At the rescue, Wyatt is having a grand time romping with all the dogs and snuggling up together for puppy power naps!  He hasn’t met any cats, but he is a mellow boy and doesn’t appear to have a prey instinct and would likely be fine with them.         Wyatt is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher course while he adjust to a new home. Wyatt is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a sweet loving  boy who will make a wonderful family dog.    Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Wyatt or any of our many Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    January 24, 2025, 6:20 am
