How about a “fun loving, playful, yet affectionate, eager to please, other dog loving, cat loving, child and adult loving” dog? All that and once over the Zoomies of meeting you, I do settle down. Well, “that’s me in a nut shell”! “I’m RIP!”, a 6 month old, about 45# boy that lives and plays daily with other dogs, can be acclimated to cats, love kids, adults and strangers, just seeming to be a “go with the flow” type of guy . Don’t get me wrong, I do have some training needs since I’m with a rescue in a kennel environment, but we Catahoula dogs are know to be very intelligent, fast learners and I am treat motivated. Needing daily exercise like walks, fetch and maybe frisbee, I do settle down, am a soft mouth boy when playing and dearly love my person. A fenced in yard is best, but not required. Known as a “Velcro Boy” at the rescue, once yours, my person time I do take to heart! LOVE ON ME PLEASE MOM/DAD! Connect for more info, I’m here waiting for my special person/people. “Rip” is ready to “Rock n Roll”, hike, ride, love and snore with you! DOB: 12/11/23  Pups are purebred Catahoula Leopards.  We have 5 (4 boys/1 girl).    They are spayed/neutered  and ready for homes.  All are very friendly with people and other dogs.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Story
Violet is a name evoking beauty, grace and power of nature. Although only 7 months old weighing approx. 40#, once my initial excitement is over, I have a demeanor of a violet, beautiful inside and out, affectionate, eager to please, with soft light blue eyes that stare longingly for my person’s love. I do have a fun loving, goofy side as well that is game to romp and play with toys, great with other dogs, children, adults and can be acclimated to cats!  Known in the rescue as a “Velcro Dog”, once attached, I’ll be yours for life! My eyes are a BEAUTIFUL SKY BLUE, coat is soft, short with ears black/gray/white and patches of light brown. My body has occasional patches of same colors that will probably increase across my body as I mature. Still a puppy in a kennel environment, I do have a lot yet to learn, but Catahoula’s are known to be Very Intelligent and Trainable! We are also agile, friendly with strangers and a great family dogs.  My personality is showing I have a “soft mouth”, enjoy being cuddled and wanting to be with my person. So, that’s my scoop. I’m Violet a beautiful young girl with a lifetime of love to give! We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Walker This adorable puppy was left behind when his owners moved. Walker, his brother Tate, and sister Tory and their sweet mama were all left to fend for themselves, discarded like garbage. But we see their value! A kind hearted postal worker noticed they were still there when the owners were long gone, and thankfully she intervened and took them home with her, to foster until they are adopted. Walker is a typical, sweet natured puppy. He's about 4 months old. We don't know what breed he is. Mom was very mixed. All we know for sure is that he deserves way better than he was given, and we are gonna make sure he gets all the best going forward! Neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Walker will enter the Paws in Prison training program this week, and will be available for adoption once he graduates in 8 weeks.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Oh Ramona.... The sweet girl is the sister to Roxy and two male pups that were previously adopted out. Imani was pulled from a rural shelter after being placed on the Code Red List. Needless to say, she walked out and has been living her best life ever since. Imani lives in a foster with other pups and cats and she's done great with all of them. Imani is learning her best manners. She's learning to walk on a leash, working on house training, is crate trained, and is working on her confidence building. She does well with other pups though and is working on sharing. She is an absolute peach and warms up quickly once she knows you. Imani is also learning how to cuddle with best of them. If you're wanting a gorgeous young pup that's going to be on the larger side, Imani could be the one for you. Please let is know by completing an app here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form and we'll forward it to her foster pawrent who can answer any additional questions and provide more pictures. ==================================================================================== If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED.
