Story
Meet the belly-rub-loving Storm II, aka Wormy. He is a 5-year-old 80lb Catahoula mix, With the biggest heart. Little Worm was adopted from Wichita Falls Humane Society when he was a tiny baby puppy only 8 weeks old, and she stole my heart. Storm is a high-energy pup who loves to go for walks, eat treats, and play frisbee. He struggles with being social and isn't a fan of other dogs but his love for his humans is unmatched. Storm likes to cuddle up with his humans and needs affection 24/7. An ideal home for Storm would be one with older kids and plenty of space to run around. Storm is crate/leash/house trained, and knows how to sit, lay down, high five, stay, find treats you name it. He is one smart pup! He loves car rides and long walks, the scenic route! This loving pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Ernie is a sweet and handsome Catahoula mix...approximately 3 years old. He prefers a tight schedule/feeding time, with naps in his crate (door open). Ernie does well with other dogs, and seems to do ok with cats. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. Ernie loves people, but prefers to hang out with men, and be their best buddy! He's a sweet boy, and beautiful, as well! He is food motivated, so training works very well, with treats! Story
COURTESY POST: Hello everyone! My name is Annie (short for Anakin)! I’m a super happy, upbeat, loving, 60-pound, approximately 2 year old female Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix. I’m an amazing dog that LOVES kids, other dogs and spending time with people. I’m very strong and may look intimidating, but I just want a belly rub, time playing with my toys and taking naps in your lap. My favorite games are Tug-of-War and Hide & Go Seek. I love playing Hide & Go Seek because when I find you, I’m truly thrilled and I can cover you with slobbery kisses. Afterwards, we can play again! Also, one of my favorite pastimes is to jump on the trampoline with my person. I love to have fun with everyone! Some important details about my health: I have all my shots, I’m spayed and I’m in good health. Furthermore, I am potty-trained, crate-trained and very food-motivated! Unfortunately, my life was not filled with too much joy in my early months. I had puppies, but tragically, they were taken away from me a few days after they were born. Also, I was kicked out of my home and had to find refuge in the cold, dark streets right after I had just given birth. When I was found, I was very thin, scared and sad. Nevertheless, I’m doing much better now and I can’t wait to find a new home! I hope you can consider adopting me because all I want to do is love, be loved and play together! If you adopt me, we will be best friends forever! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
It's Olympics season and that means you need to dream big. And by big, how about 80 pounds of handsome good boy? Let me introduce myself. I'm Xolo; you say it Zo-lo. I'm looking for a family with room in their lives and home for a big man. My foster dad says I'm a goofball, but I think I just like to have fun. The good thing is I have all the basic Olympic skills down. I am crate trained when my foster family is gone, I know to do my business outside, and I sleep well through the night in their room. I would prefer to sleep on the bed with them but so far they haven't been willing to let me up there. I'll keep trying. I'm learning to walk better on a leash but they say I don't quite understand how strong I am so I'll need my new people to help me continue to learn. And when I say I am strong, I mean Olympic strong, so until I get tired, walking me may not be the best option unless you are also Olympic strong. My gold winning home would ideally be as an only dog or maybe with a nice girl friend. I like to be the man in charge and a friend would need to understand that. I've mentioned I'm strong, right? That comes across when I'm wrestling and playing too. I can get pretty rough and need to be reminded to settle down. But at the end of the day, I am incredibly loving, surprisingly gentle, and I will stand at the top of the podium in your heart. I just need the right home to accommodate a dog of my size and strength.
