Hi, my name is Princess Pearl, and I am a 7 1/2 year-old, 48 lbs, Catahoula mix. I have been looking for my forever home for over 2 years since I was rescued from a kill shelter. I am very good with kids, dogs, and all people, I am also potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I am a very easy to love, snuggle bug, but I also love to have some fun. I love playing with ALL the toys; fetch and shreddable toys are my favorite! I also love to run and sunbathe in the yard. I do best crated when you are not home, but I need a heavy duty one since I think wire crates are tasty. Food is my addiction; I will do anything for a good treat. I know how to take treats gently before devouring every crumb. Since I'm very food motivated, I've learned a couple of cool things for rewards like sit, lay down, crate, and shake! Emma is a very sweet dog. She is clever and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She likes to sleep under the bed, but we really don’t know why. Emma has had her shots but at the time of writing we do not know which ones or when. Her owner is no longer able to provide the care she needs, so we volunteered to care for her temporarily. We can’t keep Emma because we already have three pets and two small children and the extra care is becoming stressful. Emma is house trained, but as with all dogs she will need frequent walks to prevent accidents for the first few weeks.

Bebe is estimated to have been born in April 2012. She came to us in the summer of 2021 after one of her owners passed away and the other moved into an apartment and could no longer keep her. Her previous owner acquired her as a 6-month old puppy when she showed up on the front porch on a cold night. Growing up, she was mostly an outside dog, but we brought her inside and kennel-trained her. She is energetic, smart, trainable, loyal, housebroken, and protective of the one or two people who she bonds with the most. Unfortunately, she can be aggressive towards other people and other animals when they get too close to her favorite person or her food. She barks at almost any beeping/crunching noise (instant pot, ice cream truck, door opening, vacuum) and nips at the trash bag while taking out the trash. She digs in the yard and chases birds and squirrels. She is a great dog, but she is not suitable for our large family and existing pets. She will thrive where she can be the top dog!
