Story
Meet George Are you willing and able to help with this dog? Please contact me. Introductions from the owner: George is a three-year-old Caucasian Shepherd / Central Asian Shepherd cross, weighing in at approximately 150lbs. George has a gentle temperament and currently is an indoor/outdoor dog and comes in at night to sleep and is trained to ask to go outside to relieve himself. Health and care: George has been neutered. He is up to date with his vaccines. For vet appointments as of January 17 he went in for allergy treatment for the allergy to pine sap and ear cleaning supplies. When George was younger, he had an unfortunate accident and was hit by a car. Although he used to have a slight limp favoring his back left leg, he has shown no signs of pain or discomfort in the past year. A Caring and Energetic Companion: George is a bundle of love and energy! He enjoys spending most of his time sprinting around the yard, playing tug, and seeking pets. George has a caring nature and is eager to share his love with the right family. He often snuggles up against anyone around him or appreciates someone standing next to him while surveying the yard. Training and Commands: George is very independent-minded, we have taught him to come, sit, and lie down. However, it depends if George wants to follow the instructions. Socialization: George has not been around farm animals, so we cannot guarantee how he will react in that setting. Nor has George been socializing with other dogs. We do have a cat at home, George wants to play with the cat but just ends up scaring our cat away. George has a few parts of living in Surrey that he is not a fan of: he is compelled to howl at sirens. And for people who stand on the opposite side of our fence, he needs to let them know he is there. Reason for Rehoming: Due to the covid, my partner cannot handle the sound of George barking without significant stress and pain. Unfortunately, she is at home most of the time to take care of George. We do not have the funds to put him in daycare or the strength or will to walk him on a leash without being tugged along when he sees a squirrel. He is stuck in our yard which seems barely big enough for him. We took him out of a rough situation but are barely able to take care of him

These pups are in Vancouver, British Columbia too!

Story
Meet Daphne, a very goofy girl with a lot of love to give! Daphne and her sister Dahlia came into the BCSPCA's care after they were found wandering around a rural property in Northern BC. This happy puppy loves to explore the world with her nose on walks, and while she is still working on keeping all 4 paws on the floor when she meets new friends, she loves to learn and is eager to please her people. She gets along great with other dogs, and would likely be fine in a house with dog-savvy children. She would love a safe outdoor space where she can grow and play, too! After she gets her wiggles out on a walk, Daphne will snuggle up to you for some belly rubs and a nice long nap! Ready to welcome this big, beautiful girl into your home? Come meet her today! Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. Story
Rosie came to us all the way from Quesnel BCSPCA. She is an energetic, playful girl with the spirit of a lap dog (despite her large size!). Rosie came from a home with cats, children, and another dog, so she is comfortable with a big and busy household! While she is still working on her manners, Rosie is eager to learn and loves to fill her day with training sessions. Her leash manners are coming along swimmingly too! Rosie is a pretty talented escape artist, and has a history of climbing fences up to 6 feet tall. We strongly recommend that her potential adopters keep her on a long leash when she is playing outside to prevent any unwanted games of chase! After shes had enough time to burn off some energy, Rosie loves to curl up on the sofa and fall asleep with her head in your lap.Rosie would be a great addition to any active family that can train her to be an adventure/hiking buddy. Rosie is game to join in on any activities with her people, and her sweet disposition is sure to bring boundless joy to her forever family! Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me.
