Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Breed(s): Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Mix Age: 3 years Weight: 65 pounds Vetting Status: Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm negative & maintained on preventatives. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Looking for a dog that is all about YOU? A best friend, a loyal companion? Trevor may just be your guy! This handsome, eager to please fella was found as a stray, completely emaciated. He gained over 25 pounds and looks like a completely different dog! Trevor is crate trained, but much prefers having less restrictions and more freedom. His house manners have been stellar in his foster home -- no accidents or incidents. Trevor loves people, a love bug that wants to be the center of someone's world! Hanging out and being in your presence & playing with his K-9 companions fulfills his days. Stuffed Kongs are certainly on the favorites list too. This sweet boy is a highly intelligent and rapidly picked up on learning an array of commands to include sit, lay, paw, kennel, down and no. Trevor also enjoys going for a car ride & will gladly offer to ride shot gun on all your important trips... petstore, mcd's, bank with a drive thru giving out cookies, etc. Trevor has been exposed to a vast array of other dogs, both big & small. He would love to have K-9 companions, but surely would not argue with being a SHD (single hound dog) & the center of attention. Cats seem super fun to chase (eek!) and would NOT be recommended. If you think Trevor may be the pup for you, please visit the link below to fill out an application. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TREVOR is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Story
Onyx would make a great livestock guardian dog!! Onyx is very stressed living in downtown Baltimore. A new environment was recommended by his trainer where he can thrive and be a happier pup. He has done an intensive board and train and has great training. He is healthy, neutered and up-to-date on all shots, takes monthly preventatives and registered with Baltimore city. He currently takes one low cost medication to help manage stress. He is leash and car reactive. He loves playing with toys, and will sleep by your side for hours. He is fine with cats. + will need someone experienced with resource guarding behavior. It requires management techniques, e.g. trading out toys and crate feeding. + housebroken, no accidents if you leave him alone, which can be for up to 4 hours if he doesn't have access to a backyard. + does not destroy furniture +would make excellent guardian dog + would be able to deliver him in 100 mile radius of Baltimore, MD

Story
We are looking for a forever home for Tubs, our beloved, cuddly, high-energy, silly 4-year-old boy. We will drive far to find the right home, so don't let distance keep you from reaching out! Recent developments have forced us to move to NYC, and out of love for our boy, we’ve decided to look for a new, more spacious home with space to play separate from other dogs and strangers. Tubs is a very loyal, affectionate dog who is very dear to us. He loves to play and cuddle with his favorite people, and if you throw the ball for him, you’ll have a friend for life! Since Tubs is reactive to other dogs, he would be perfect for a family with a fenced-in yard big enough for playing fetch (or a rural property with few neighbors). They should have experience with large dogs and time for daily playtime. Since he’s a goofy bundle of enthusiasm, his new family should also have only adults or older children. For more information, text us at 252.916.0178, or submit an application.
